Poster Competition
for Students
ICE - committed to encouraging and celebrating the contribution
of students and newly qualified engineers to the industry.

ICE has teamed up with EPSRC and The Happold Trust to run a poster
competition for students to demonstrate exciting and innovative
solutions to challenges facing the industry.
A judging panel drawn from across the industry are considering
submissions across four categories:
Transport Water and Food Security
Energy The Built Environment

The best posters will be displayed within ICE’s building for the event and the entire
month of July, and one poster author will win a trip for two to Copenhagen.
Judges will be looking for ideas that:
Represent step change in thinking
Provide long term solutions, rather than quick fixes
Are feasible – they can be achieved through engineering skill
Submission for the 2010 Competition is now closed.

2011 Competition
The success of this poster competition, designed to highlight the
contribution and ideas of student engineers to the development
of the industry, has allowed ICE to make this an annual event.
The 2011 Competition will provide a further opportunity for
anyone interested in displaying their ideas or providing
support to the development of engineering
education to get involved.
Do you have an innovative solution?
Do you or your company want to take an
active part in the 2011 Competition?
Contact poster@ice.org.uk to get
involved or for further information.
