Psychology is the science of behaviour and mind. Psychology includes the study
of conscious and unconscious phenomena, as well as feeling and thought. It is an academic
discipline of immense scope.
According to the 2015 National Health Morbidity Survey, 29% of the Malaysian population
as a whole suffered from depression and anxiety disorder, and mental illness is expected to be
the second biggest health issue affecting Malaysians after heart disease by 2020 -
ROXANNE. (17 June, 2019).
Based on that, we have planned to develop a mobile apps named as Psychology Pro! to help
people get information just using the smart phone that they bring where ever they go. We also
want to develop an application for citizen generally and Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM)
campus staff and students specifically.
MARKET RESEARCH
Market research was conducted to collect data about psychology apps through Google Play
Store. Through market research findings, the results of the data will analyse in brief and in
general the use and function of psychology apps. This is because to ensure how much the
project are worth to run and develop.
Most psychology apps not provide a DASS test. The psychology app is more from foreign
country and more worldwide. It is difficult for student Universiti Utara Malaysia to find out
the local apps because it only has some of it and not complete. Some of the psychology apps
need to pay before install and also some apps only showing some basic things.
Even though a psychology apps market not so competitive like other market, there are still
huge chance of success as a psychology apps developer. In future, people will know the
existing applications and will install it if it can attract them to do the test and will be useful.
Thus, it is important to make a market research because to collect information about others
competitors or to get to know what users need.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Mental illness has been spreading nowadays, but most of the sufferers got no ideas to do
something. This is because:

People now a days are always faced a problem with mental illness. It gave an idea to me to
develop an application to help the sufferers and educate the citizen
ii. To educate and help people to know more about mental illness.
PROJECT SCOPE
The software using to build up the apps is Adobe Animate CC and Adobe Photoshop. The
apps contain four elements which is audio, video, text and graphics with this elements, the
apps will look attractive especially for mental illness sufferers and they also can learn about
psychology and mental problems.
i. To show information that related to the mental illness such as depression and anxiety
disorder.
ii. User can test their level of understand by answering quiz in this apps.
iii. User can test their level of stress by answering DASS test.
iv. Using Adobe Animate platform to develop this app and for Android users only.
TARGET USERS
METHODOLOGY
The method using in the project is ADDIE Model (Waterfall) as or guidelines to develop an
Psychology Pro! Mobile apps. Through the whole process of our project’s development, the
project has undergone several steps. The processes of our project development are as follows:
There are several stages in the methodology that are implemented before, during, and after
developing this application:

At this stage, early planning is crucial in terms of making observations and research on the
definition of folk songs. Market goals need to be set in order to tailor this application to users.
User goals need to be set to ensure user satisfaction. Need to specify the purpose of the
application being developed. In addition, it also specifies the elements that need to be
included in the application. Production costs also need to be taken into account to ensure the
design and function of book applications.
b) Stage 2: Design
Application design needs to be done through sketches of ideas first. Ensure that the
Psychology Pro! Mobile apps revenue criteria are consistent with the design and
functionality. Storyboarding is very important for developers to develop the application. The
current design analysis in the production of this application is to determine the suitability of
the components used to develop the application. Summarizes the strengths and weaknesses of
this apps.
c) Stage 3: Development
Begin the process of developing a planned application by building it with the steps you have
set. Proper processing ensures the application is ready for the right day and time. During the
development process the application should also consider the strategic planning of the
market. Ensure development is done in the right way.
d) Stage 4: Test
Pre-test these mobile apps intended to get feedback from users. Make sure that any uninvited
issues do not occur. For example, buttons cannot be pressed, wrong arrangement, and so on.
If there is a technical problem, it needs to be addressed quickly so as not to harm the
developer.
