Introduction
Orange is one of the favorite fruits we eat because of its sweet
and delicious fruit , it is also rich in vitamin c, and it also has many other
benefits to our health. It also makes the drug. The orange skin also has
something to do with it and we're just throwing that we're wrong. It can also be
used as a mosquito repellent because orange peel contains high amounts of
limonene, a chemical poisonous to insects. It can also be an alternative
cleaning tool in our kitchen, and this is what we will do with our project today.
The researcher wants to make a tile cleaner using orange peels that can be
alternatives, instead of products purchased at supermarkets. This study aims
to value orange peels that we are often thrown away. It is easy to do and its
ingredients can be found only inside our kitchen. Youth should have our
environment in order to prevent pollution around us. By this we can help, we
will learn something new that we can share with others. This project will be
called 'The Effectiveness of Orange Peel in terms of Tile Cleaner', which will
give us more information on how to use the orange peel as tile cleaner, which
is eco- friendly and easy to do.

Background of the Study

The researcher conduct this research because they see that theres have a
lot of orange in their area and the peel of orange just throw in garbage bin,
they think the appropriate way to use the orange peel in replacement of
other ingredient of the product . And a thought pop up on the researcher
mind why they cant use orange peel as a stain removal? Because
nowadays the product that can be buy in sore contains chemicals that
can affects the health of human being. This research advocate to be a
resourceful and sometimes health centered.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

 Determine the effectiveness of orange pell in tiles cleaner?

 How effective is the orange peelings and vinegar as tile cleaner?
 Is there significant different between the effectivityof commercial tile
cleaner from orange peelings and vinegar

HYPOTHESIS

 The orange peel and vinegar is effective in stain removal in tile cleaner.
 There is no significant difference in the effectiveness of orange peelings
and vinegar as a tile cleaner in bathroom tiles compared to those in
commercial ones.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

As a researcher the important of the product (ORANGE PEEL

CLEANER)is to be easy to remove stain in tiles problem. It have a
natural component of ingredients . The researcher focus on the possible
effects of natural tile cleaner that can be used in the kitchen . It
important also to the tiles area. Aside from using it safety . Some of
the other product have a components of chemicals that can be bad to
health. And it is important to the house area to help some parents to be
easy remove stain in the kitchen tiles.

SCOPE LIMITATION

As a researcher the experiment are only limited to making a simple

cleaner .The researchers a set of respondents that will test the
effectiveness of the product . The scent ,odor color ,appearance and
ability to remove stain will be basis for the effectiveness of the product.
Using orange peel and vinegar . Also this study include the
effectiveness of orange peel and vinegar on the product to have
accurate observation. I t will be creating sample. To know that it is
effective . And the proposed of this product Is to be easy use in our
kitchen in terms of tile cleaner .I t is limited product it is for tiles only
and also for wood table .A s an answer to researchers problem with this
orange peel cleaner your tiles is going white. The respondents to this
product is a mother student t etc. And also this [product have a good
benefits remove stain, bad odors germs free. This product is 30 minutes
made and to keep it in need of 3 weeks.
DEFINITION OF TERMS

 Orange Peel – Main ingredients of our product

 Vinegar –We use it to sanitize and to facilitate the removal of dirt /stain
in the tiles
 Strainer- To break down and remove all solid ingredients and make it
pure liquid
 Bottle – Store orange peel and vinegar while our product is soaked
 Spray Bottle – Finish product container

REVIEW RELATED STUDY

According to Dr. Virginia waste and orange peel were co-digested

using an anaerobic digestion process. Orange peel is difficult to degrade
anaerobically due to the presence of antimicrobial agents such as limonene.
The present study aimed to examine the feasibility of anaerobic co-digestion of
catering waste with orange peel to provide the optimum nutrient balance with
reduced inhibitory effects of orange peel. Batch experiments were conducted
using catering waste as a potential substrate mixed in varying ratios (20-50%)
with orange peel. Similar ratios were followed using green vegetable waste as
co-substrate. The results showed that the highest organic matter degradation
(49%) was achieved with co-digestion of catering waste and orange peel at a
50% mixing ratio (CF4). According to African Journal of Food and Science
Technology orange peel can be alternative wine vinegar. The orange peel

rapidly becoming a superpower in the sustainability sphere. The trend towards
reuse rather than new design to address problems is a flourishing one in the
world of eco-conscious design– particularly with regard to finding creative
ways for repurposing food waste. From beer made with bread to bars made

otherwise squandered resources.

Fortunately, science has answered with a myriad of solutions. Like many other
food waste products, orange peels are being eyed as a potential biofuel.

REVIEW RELATED LITERATURE

According to Dr. Chua orange peels were evaluated as a

fermentation feedstock, and process conditions for enhanced ethanol production
were determined. Primary hydrolysis of orange peel powder (OPP) was carried
out at acid concentrations from 0 to 1.0% (w/v) at 121 °C and 15 psi for 15 min.
High-performance liquid chromatography analysis of sugars and inhibitory
compounds showed a higher production of hydroxymethyfurfural and acetic acid
and a decrease in sugar concentration when the acid level was beyond 0.5%
(w/v). Secondary hydrolysis of pretreated biomass obtained from primary
hydrolysis was carried out at 0.5% (w/v) acid. Response surface methodology
using three factors and a two-level central composite design was employed to
optimize the effect of pH, temperature, and fermentation time on ethanol
production from OPP hydrolysate at the shake flask level. On the basis of results
obtained from the optimization experiment and numerical optimization software, a
validation study was carried out in a 2 L batch fermenter at pH 5.4 and a
temperature of 34 °C for 15 h. The hydrolysate obtained from primary and
secondary hydrolysis processes was fermented separately employing parameters
optimized through RSM. Ethanol yields of 0.25 g/g on a biomass basis (YP/X)
and 0.46 g/g on a substrate-consumed basis (YP/S) and a promising volumetric
ethanol productivity of 3.37 g/L/h were attained using this process at the
fermenter level, which shows promise for further scale-up studies.

An orange, specifically, the sweet orange (Citrus sinensis (L.)) is the

most commonly grown tree fruit in the world. The
present work addresses to the development of the part of the process needed for
the extraction of value added products like
orange oil and pectin from orange peel, which is the waste of orange juice
processing industry. The outcome of the present
work highlighted that the sweet orange peels are good source of orange oil and
pectin and does have the potential to become
important raw material for food processing industries. Two methods namely
simple distillation & leaching have been
explored for separation of oil from peels. The remains of cake in this part is
further treated for isolation of pectin. It is found
from the experimental observations that the peel source, for extraction of
pectin, when taken after extracting orange oil
through simple distillation gives higher yield than leaching residue. It is
concluded that the process in which orange oil is
first extracted using technique of simple distillation followed by acid extraction
of pectin is most suitable for industrial
