As all Indonesian know, in April 17th 2019, we will held an election for new president for

5 years period starts from 2019. Those who are eligible to elect are those aged over 17. There
will be two candidates for 2019 election, the first one comes from PDIP, Partai Demokrasi
Indonesia Perjuangan, Joko Widodo and his vice president, KH Ma’aruf Amin, with 01 as their
election number. Meanwhile the second one comes from Gerindra, Gerakan Indonesia Raya,
Prabowo Subianto and his vice president, Sandiaga Uno, with 02 as their election number. I agree
if Jokowi and Ma’aruf still have a good performance for the next period (2019-2024), because of
some reasons that will be stated.
The first reason why I stated my argument that they will still have good performance, is
because Jokowi has been president of Republic of Indonesia for 5 years long and me, as
Indonesian citizen could see such a great progress that he, his minister, and his cabinet made for
Indonesia. Based on Detik News, September 24th 2018, Jokowi had made 3400 km main roads
and had added 443 km toll roads. Indonesia has many cities and islands, also Indonesian needs
roads to connect a city to another. Thus this project about main roads and toll roads are such an
easy access for citizens to move across islands. Other than that, another progress that Jokowi has
made is that, he has decreased numbers of poverty of Indonesia up to 9,8%. That’s a great
progress because Indonesia had a better life than before, and it means that the number of
unemployed citizens also will decrease. One other achievement that has been done in his period
is in the Jokowi’s era, especially by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ignatius Jonan,
Indonesia December 2018 has owned 51% of PT Freeport's shares, which was an achievement
that greatly helped the country's income. This was only been achieved during his period and
made him a very special president compared to the previous presidents.
The other parameter, besides the first reason that has been stated before, (ini banyak yg
diilangin) is because they are anticorruption, especially Jokowi. Based on Tempo.co, October 14th
2014, Jokowi suspected that he doubled the BPMKS data and said Jokowi had corrupt 2,4 billion
of BPMKS fund. However, after KPK, Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi, analyze the data (about
corruption) that had been sent by Ali Usman, the committee stipulate that Jokowi was clear from
corruption. This statement shows us that Jokowi didn’t do a corruption.
