 CHAPTER 1: THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

INTRODUCTION

Teenagers this days have become more attracted with their gadgets it
seems like everyday their doing just use their gadgets noting more and
they Forget to eat their meals because of gadgets. The Researcher want
to have a survey the effects of gadgets. On Grade 10 Students in
Mangaldan National High School on their studies. Because the
Researcher also wanted to know Negative and Positive effect of a
having a gadgets on Students.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The purpose of the research about the effects of gadget on

the students of their studies?

1. How each other manage their time between gadgets and Studies
?

2. What are the Nagative and Positive effect of gadget of being a

student ?

Important of the Study

This study aimed to determined the effects of gadget on Grade 10

student in Mangaldan National High School on their studies year 2018-
2019. This tally found out how the high school students manage their
time in which study and gadget in invole additionaly,it determines the
level of motivation and anxiety of the respondent.

Delimitation of the Study

The study complete with the researcher started january to junior of

grade 10 student of Mangaldan National High School were choosen to
be the respondent of the research through questionnaires. Student
were grade10 only in any section. This research is an about the effect of
gadget on grade 10 student in Mangaldan National High School on their
studies. It started here in the research about the teenagers were
involed with gadgets

DEFINITION OF TERM

Effects of gadget

- it means being a student we need limitation to use gadgets

because it will affect our health example we have Not time to eat meal
and we sleep not or time.
 Chapter 2 : Review of related Literature

This chapter attempts to present a brief resume of research

findings related to the effect of Gadget on Students of their studies of
Grade 10 students from Mangaldan National High School The effect
gadget on student of their studies attending Junior High School is the
positive experience for many,yet many students also experience Junior
High School as Chronically effect of academic
requirements,test,presentstions and mainly the mere fact of
adjustments.Effect of Gadget on Junior High School Students increasing
in both its frequency and severity.Some factor that may contribute to
effect the studies of students on this generation,we can really say there
is a big positive and negative side of using in gadget but for us it
depends on the people who using it like students for example,the
positive effect of using gadgets are they can easily get the information
they needed for their activities and it will be in using the 21st century
materials.And the negative effect of this is the many student cant focus
on their studies because of gadgets.Gadget is the one will affect of our
studies
 Respondents of The Study
The research was conducted at the Mangaldan National High School
during january ,academic year 2018-2019 at Mangaldan,Pangasinan
there were 50 Respondent who took part in study .the Population
consisted of Grade 10 students from Mangaldan National High School

Proceduce of the study

The researcher made use of selective sampling method in the selection
of the respondents since the study was focused on a particular group
(study involed in the gadgets).

Chapter 3: Research design

Methods

The research implemented simple descriptive design this design used survey questionnaires
which were distributed to the respondents in order to attain the main objective of the study
which is to examine the effect of gadget on students in their studies of Grade 10 High school
students of Mangaldan National High School. The survey or the research it self tried to
describe,analyze and interpret the effect of gadget on their studies of the respondents the
design is non experimental correlation research this design investigated the effect of gadget on
their studies of the variable without manipulating their .

50 questionnaires

A pen , and A calculator

Formula that was used in computing

 Respondents of The Study

The research was conducted at the Mangaldan National High School during February,academic
year 2018-2019 at Mangaldan Pangasinan.

There were 50 respondent who took part in the study the population consisted of grade 10
students from Mangaldan National High School.

 lll-Procedure Employed
The research was a cross-sectional Study,as it elaborated the data being
collected at one particular questionnaires to selected respondent,of
Mangaldan National High School (MNHS).Before the questionnaires
were handed to students.the purpose along with the aims of this
study.were briefly explained by the researcher.they were also
quaranteed that their responses would be confidential
furthermore.they reminded about the time they would spend in filling
up the questionnaire.

lV-Conclusion
Based on the results it was found out that 68% YES of the Questionnaire
that students answer on the survey has a higher than the 32%
NO.responded of the survey.the researcher found out that the gadget
has a positive and negative effect of students.the positive effect is when
you have assignment you will search on you will using and the negative
effect is you dont have enough time to eat and sleep because of
gadget.it will affect your studies and your self.

RECOMMENDATIONS
-To my fellow researchers the survey forms or the questinnaire should
be produce on Grade 10 Student. in any section of Mangaldan National
High School the survey form or the questionnaire should be pruduce 50
Students.
