Lesson Plan in Science 4

I- Objectives
At the end of fifty minutes discussion the pupils shall have:
a. Identify the different activities used water;
b. Determine the uses of water in our daily activities; and
c. Appreciate the uses of water in our daily activities.
II- Subject Matter:
Topic: Uses of water in our daily activities
Materials: manila paper, pictures, visual aids
References: Science Learner’s Materials pages 263-266
Focused Skills: Observing, describing, explaining, communicating, and synthesizing ideas
Value: Embrace the importance of the uses of water in our daily activities.
Integration: Health
III- Procedure:
A. Preliminary Activities:
1. Review:
 When the seeds germinate?
2. Unlocking difficulties:
Direction: connect the word to the corresponding definition.
 Daily
 Uses
 Activities
3. Motivation: Singing (water is everything)
1. I will sing the song first, after which we will be singing together; after singing together, let
pupils sing the song.
B. Exploration/activity
1. Group the class into three (3)
2. Give the materials to the group leader
3. Every group will be given ten (10) minutes to answer the activity
4. Let the answer the given task
5. Guide the pupils while doing the activity
Rubrics:

Cooperation = 4

Neatness = 3

Output/presentation = 3

Total: 10

Group 1: Word Puzzle

Direction: Read and understand the sentence given to solve the puzzle.

Group 3: Poem

Direction: Write a short poem to the uses of water in our daily activities.

C. Discussion/Explanation:

2. Examine the pupils responses to the activity question as you discuss using the following
questions.
a. Is water important in our daily living?
b. How water help us in our daily living?
D. Elaboration/Generalization:
a. What are the uses of water in our daily activities?
