PROBLEM AND IT’S BACKGROUND

Introduction

Nowadays, human life runs through the use of various types of technology such as

computer, cellphones and much more. Especially the well-known computer because it is

used primarily by those working in the school and office. The Grades Recording System

for Senior High School students facilitates the fine work of the teachers and those in the

school office. It has a large part in a school. Especially for students, teachers, and

registrars and even to parents. In using Grades Recording System you can see if there is

an increase in their ability. Everything that students do in the four corners of the room is

also recorded by the teacher. This process gives teachers an added burden especially that

it needs to be correct and carefully computing the grades. In a school each teacher has his

or her own holding section to lead. Aside from that they have other sections that needed

to be taught and to evaluate fair and accurate. The Grades Recording System is very nice

as an educational tool especially it is really effective and helpful Grades Recording

System was developed to provide information on which subjects a student has a problem.

It is usually used to determine where the student is great and weak, their talents and

abilities to be demonstrated in their classroom. These information authorize if a student

has the potential to go to the next year level Most teachers have difficulty with encoding

and recording of grades most especially when they handling many sections. Instead of

having to do something else will no longer be given attention because of the workloads.

With the help of modern technology it will never be a burden to a teacher and registrar to
record. Mostly many schools have their Grades Recording System for them to avoid the

errors especially if the deadlines are so close they tend to fasten their work that may

cause transcription errors. This study aims to develop the traditional way of computing of

grades.

Background of the Study

Eastwood College of Science and Technology is a growing private school in San

Ramon Dinalupihan Bataan. If was established of thirteen years ago and they are using

excel to encode and to see the grades of every student the school maintains a small stuck

of teachers and personnel as compared to its growing population aside from being a

class adviser and area coordinator majority of the teacher handle the two different grade

levels

Using excel to add edit encode and view the grades of every student the process is

prone to error especially for the professors who handle two or more classes. By using

excel of computing and storing data being prone to error is possible and just by a single

mistake repeating the process may be required.

The ECST used manually encoding/recording grades of each student recording

grades each subject one by one to compute the ECST grades recording system for SHS

students are more easy to compute and record the grades because in the help of this

system the teacher and registrar have an easy access to record

 How to create ECST Grades Recording System for Senior High School students.

Specific Problem

 How to make a system that automatically computes the student’s grade?

 How to make a Grades Recording System that the only have the privilege to use is

the authorized person?

 How to create a system that preserves the privacy of records of the Senior High

School students?

 How to make a Grade Recording System that is manageable to use and easy to

find what you are looking for.

 How to avoid transcription errors in recording the students’ grade.

Objectives of the Study

General Objective

 To create ECST Grades Recording System for Senior High School

Students.

Specific Objective

 To create a system that will secure the records or data of the students.

 To provide a manageable system that will help to speed up recording the

grades of the students.

 To help quickly find the students record.

 To create a system that instantly collects and computes student's grades.

Significance of the Study

In the present day, to facilitate the work of a person they usually used the

technology. The use of computer makes it easier for you to quickly find what you are

looking for and immediately do the job. In every school that grows and expands, just like

Eastwoods College of Science and Technology requires the help of modern technology

and system especially since it has been increasing its population and recognizable

throughout the province of Bataan.

Scope and Delimitation

Scope
 Can view the students records can compute the students grades the system is

password protected. Administrators have total access to the system, view students records

that are officially enrolled, search student number and viewing grades of any subject.

Limitations

The system cannot print the student’s grades. The system is cannot be viewed

offline. The system does not cover the computation of student’s grades, class scheduling,

viewing of teachers and paying of fees. Not accepting any online payments. It can only

operate for high school enrollment purposes. It can’t show the schedule of time of the

subjects per year level.

Definitions of Term

Admin - the administration of a business, organization, etc.

Encoding - is the process of converting data from one form to another. While "encoding"

can be used as a verb, it is often used as a noun, and refers to a specific type of encoded

data. There are several types of encoding, including image encoding, audio and video

encoding, and character encoding.

Password - a secret word or phrase that must be used to gain admission to something.A

string of characters that allows access to a computer, interface, or system.

System - is the activity of programming computer system software. The primary

distinguishing characteristic of systems programming when compared to application

programming is that application

User - is a person who utilizes a computer or network service. Users of computer systems

and software products generally lack the technical expertise required to fully understand

how they work.

Username - an identification used by a person with access to a computer, network, or

online service.
