ROPE SOCKET
The Brass Wedge and Sleeve Type
Rope Socket is used as a means of
connecting the wireline to the wireline
tool string. The line is run through the
body and sleeve and around the
brass wedge. With the line set in the
provided groove of the brass wedge,
the line and brass wedge are pulled
tightly into the taper of the sleeve.
