TUBULAR JAR

The Tubular Jar, through wireline

manipulation, can be used to provide
an upward or downward impact. The
intensity of the jarring impact
depends on the weight of the wireline
stem above the jar, the stroke length
of the jar, and the density of the well
fluid. The perforated body of the
Tubular Jar allows fluid bypass,
reducing the effects of the well fluid
density on the jarring impact.
