EN 1281 1-2. Elements shall be protected aga;nst atmospheric corrosion in generai in accordance vtith
EN 1281 1-2

Elecirolytical zinc coating C. wilh an average ihickness of 15 pm conforms to E.1 ol 12E11-2:20A4.

For screvr and nut connection, other corrosion praiection which is specified in EN or lS0 stanriarrts may be

8.2 Design

6.2.'l A coupier model of a defined rype and ciass shalJ conform tc ail requirements specifiecJ in Table 8. lt
means ior any structural parameter that the evaluated test resuiis shall be equal or exceed the specified
values in this European Standard except for indentation.

6.2.2 The design of coup{ers shali be such that after tighlening onto any steel ar aluminium irbe given in
Ciause 5 and tightened in accordance with 7..1 .7 and 7.1.8. ther"e shall be signiiicant eflective travel on the nut
or wedge.

NOTE Expenence shows that 2 mm of thread or wedge remaining and a minimum gap ol 2 mm bet\{een ihe ciosing
fiap and ihe body are sujtable limits. f
6.2.3 A coupler shall be rnanufactured so thai the eiements cannol be separated during ncrmal service
condition.

The bolt class shall be al least M12. The boli strength class shall be at least grade 5.6 in accordance with
EN ISO 89B-1. The prooJ load on each bolt, Rpp2. shall nol be less than32.2 kN and the F"HlR.a ratic not
greater than 0,8.

The recommenderi bolt is M14x2, with toierances in accordance wiih ISO 965.
