Subject : Reorganizing the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) by virtue

of the authority vested in me as Punong Barangay of Paguengan,
Akbar Municipality, I hereby create/strengthen the Barangay Anti-Drug
Abuse Council (BADAC) which shall be composed of and shall function as
follows:

C. Functions:
1. Conduct regular meetings at least once a month and call for special meetings
whenever necessary;
2. Plan, strategize, implement and evaluate programs and projects on drug abuse
prevention in the barangay;
3. Organize the BADAC Auxiliary Team to compose an ideal number of 25 members
per 2,000 population od he barangay representing street, puroks, subdivisions or
sitios;
4. Orient the BADAC Auxiliary Team of their roles and functions and functions in the
campaign against street-level illegal drug trade through seminars or trainings;
5. Coordinate and collaborate with other institutions implementing programs and
projects on drug abuse prevention at the barangay level;
6. Continuously gathered and update data on all drug related incidents and its effect
on the peace and order situation in the barangay including listing of suspected drug
users and pushers;
7. Submit monthly reporting to the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council copy furnished
the DILG City/Municipal Field Offices;
8. Refer suspected drug users to the C/MADAC and the institutions for corresponding
counseling and/or rehabilitation;
9. Conduct an Information, Education Campaign (IEC) on illegal drug demand
reduction;
10. Monitor disposition and progress of drug-related cases filed; and
11. Perform other functions.

This order is issued pursuant to DILG MC No. 2015-63; DILG MC No. 2012-94; DILG
MC No. 98-227 and 99-236.
