Evaluation of a Retail Store Layout

A. WZ Collections

Located in Magsaysay Avenue, Baguio City and Urdaneta City,

WZ Collections is a specialty store that sells Anime Merchandise. WZ

Collections has two branches in the country. You can purchase their

products either going to their stores or online. Established in 2013, WZ

Collections quickly grew into one of the most competitive and diverse
 anime products, toys and collectibles items retailers in Baguio City due to

its wide range of product selection, good quality, and reasonable price.

B. Comic Alley

Comic Alley is a chain retail store and a pioneer in selling anime

specialty products. Established in 1995, its first commercial store was in

Virra Malls, Greenhills with a floor area of 176 sq. m. It sold mostly U.S

Comic books, trading cards and action figures. Later that year, it

experimented in selling anime merchandise popular at that time. This was

done to attract female customers since the stores primary clienteles were

males. By concentrating on this type of merchandise, it soon gained

 popularity by word-of-mouth as a unique store catering to this type of

market. It has transformed itself into an “Anime Specialty Shop”.

C. Evaluation

WZ Collections and Comic Alley are both specialty shops that

sell Anime Merchandise. WZ Collections is still a growing specialty shop

with still only two branches nationwide. Comic Alley has 22 branches and

still growing. Based from experience the products/merchandise of the two

are not with the same price. Comic alley is slightly expensive than WZ

Collections. Although both of them provides top notch Customer Service

either physically and online. In terms of level of service they are self-

service since you do most of the selection of the products until to the

payout. They are also both into Non-store Retailing since you can buy and

pay for their products online.

In conclusion, WZ Collections and Comic Alley is a Retail

Specialty Store that provides affordable products and great customer

service.
