Daily Lesson Plan in Electrical Installation and Maintenance

EIM Grade 8
(2:50pm-4:50pm)
02-4-2020

I. GENERAL OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard: The learner demonstrates an understanding of the
concepts and underlying principles in performing measurements and
calculations.
B. Performance Standard: The learner independently performs accurate
measurements and calculation based on given tasks.
C. Learning Competencies: Select electrical measuring tools and instruments.
Learning Code : TLE_IAEI7/8MC-0c1
D. Daily Objective/s:
1. Define what is multi-tester;
2. Label the parts of multi-tester.
II. CONTENT : Multi-tester

III. LEARNING RESOURCES:

1. Learning Materials : EIM module 1 p.251-256
2. Additional Materials : LCD monitor, Laptop, Pictures and IM’s.
: Google.com, Study.com

IV. PROCEDURES:

A. Reviewing Previous Lesson:

Project a picture of a resistor.

1. What is the value of the resistor (red, violet, brown, gold)?

2. What do you call the 4th band of resistor color code?

B. Establishing a Purpose for the lesson:

Motivation: Project a different picture of measuring tools.
*The teacher will ask the students.

 What did you observed on the pictures projected?

 What is the common function of the images?
Present the objectives (Let the student read)
C. Presenting Examples/Instances of the new lesson:
-Teacher will show pictures thru PPT about Measuring tools.
(Teacher will ask if they have idea about measuring tools)
D. Discussing New Concepts and Practicing New skills:
Activity 1: (BRAIN STORMING)

 Divide the class into two groups, allow them to have a brain
storming about multitester and let them select a representative
to present their output.
Activity 2: (WORD RELAY)

 The teacher will provide a picture of multi-tester and name of its

parts in front.
 Group the student into two according to their birth month, the
first 6 months will be the group A and the next 6 months will be
the group B.
 Each group will be given 1 minute to form a line.
 The teacher will give the word to the first person in the line and
passed it to the next person until reaches the last person.
 The last person will post the name on the board next to the
appropriate part of the multi-tester.
 This will be repeated until all the parts of multi-tester are labeled
correctly.

E. Developing Mastery:
- After presenting, Teacher will ask the following question each group.
 1. What is multi-tester?
 2. What are the different parts of multi-tester?
F. Finding Practical Application of Concepts and Skills in Daily
Living:
- Teacher will ask question that follows;
 As an electrical students give a particular situation where you
can apply your learning in using multi-tester.

G. Making Generalizations and Abstractions about the Lesson:

- Teacher will ask question the following question,
 What are the different parts of multi-tester?
 Why we need to know the function of multi-tester?

H. Evaluation:
1. Define what is multi-tester?

I. Additional Activity for Application or Remediation:

Assignment: What are the different parts of multi-tester and their
functions?

V. REMARKS:

VI. REFLECTIONS:

A. No. of learners who earned 80% of the

formative assessment
B. No. of learners who require additional
activities to remediation
C. Did the remedial lessons work? No. of
learners who have caught up with the
lesson
D. No. of learners who continue to require
remediation
