Self Concept Personal Effectiveness


-Refers to your awareness of yourself -Means making use of all the personal resources
-Is the construct that negotiates Ideal and Actual Self. - Knowledge of yourself and how you manage yourself impacts
-Connotes first the identification of the ideal self and encompasses all this directly
behaviour evaluated in the actual self -Being self-aware is the key to improve Personal Performance
-Depends on our innate characteristics (Talents and
Categories of Self-Concept Experience) accumulated in the process of Personal Development
▪Ideal Self Talent
-Is the self that you aspire to be -Are needed to be identified and then developed
-One that you hope will possess characteristics similar to that of a Experience
mentor or some other worldly figure -includes knowledge and skills that we acquire
- Is how we want to be Knowledge
-An idealized image that we have developed over time -is required for setting goals
-Could include components of what our parents have Skills
taught us also determine whether real actions are performed in

-Construct believes that context activates particular regions of self-
knowledge
