RELEASED FOR
1. GENERAL
The WUA Building at Parvan, Chhabra is designed and planned as per the tender
requirements. The building shall be designed for the most critical combinations of
dead loads, imposed loads, equipment loads, seismic loads, and any other
loading conditions which can occur during the design life of the facility.
2. DEAD LOADS
Dead loads consist of the weights of the structure complete with finishes, fixtures,
partitions, wall panels etc.
The following unit weight of material shall be considered for computation of loads.
Loads given in IS:875 (part-I) shall be used of material not listed below.
3. IMPOSED LOADS
Imposed loads in different areas shall include live loads, erection loads,
operation/ maintenance loads, etc. as applicable. The loads considered shall
not be less than that specified in IS:875 (part II).
1
M/s GVPR WUA BUILDING, PARVAN
LIVE LOADS
Live loads reduction shall be in accordance with the provisions of IS:875 &
IS:1893 in case of seismic analysis i.e. 25% live load shall be considered while
calculating the seismic weight .
4. SEISMIC LOADS
The importance factor for all buildings and structures shall be taken as IS
1893 , accordingly as per the code Importance Factor has been considered as 1.5
for the building.
5. WIND LOADS
A wind load for all structures shall be based on IS: 875 (Part 3). Basic wind speed
shall be 47 m/sec. A step function of pressure with height under different
exposure conditions shall be used. The building classification shall be with risk
co-efficient of 1.07 and terrain category 2.
Where,
