As an student of BS CRIMINOLOGY in COLEGIO DE SAN GABRIEL ARCANGEL, I learned a lot of

things in 300 hours of ON THE JOB TRAINING here in MANILA CITY JAIL MALE DORM like in Escort Unit they are
responsible to bring the (PDL) PERSON’S DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY in court for trial and hearing they need to be
suspicious of every movements of PDL and to secure that no one visitors gives an contrabands to the PDL to
avoid an illegal’s activity that can do inside of jail, in Records Unit learned that they are responsible inmates
folder, exact date, schedules of drug test and some complains of PDL regarding in their papers and also they
are responsible for the updates of dates of court hearing and for the newly committed PDL, in Paralegal Unit
they are also responsible in legal matters, probation and parole and they are also in charge to give an PAO
LAWYER to the PDL and the PAO LAWYERS visiting the PDL to give an advise and helps them to be free in jail,
in IWD Unit they are in charge to give an PDL a education together with ALS TESDA AND Dep ED and they are
also gives an seminars and to in courage the PDL to do something good instead of doings an illegal activity, in
CRS Unit they are responsible for the searching and inspection for the visitors of manila city jail to avoid the
illegal contraband was be smuggled inside of jail, they are responsible for the things persons and also for the
employee of manila city jail inspecting and searching they need to be stick when it comes of contraband, in
Health Unit they are responsible for the PDL health’s and to give an medication for the PDL sick and to ensure
the health of PDL was safe, in Custodial Unit they are responsible for the perimeter and to ensure that no one
illegal activity doing inside the jail and to check the head counts was complete in every brigade , in IIU they are
responsible for the investigation inside the jail and all captured contraband inside the MCJ.
I am very thankful in all jail officers and personnel in MANILA CITY JAIL MAIL DORM specially
for the JAIL WARDEN for welcoming us to gives an guidance and teaching us for our OJT ON THE JOB TRAINING
in MANILA CITY JAIL MALE DORM, they have taught many good things to us that we need adapt as an
criminology student.
