The newly-developed Komatsu SAA6D107E-1 engine enables NOx


emissions to be significantly reduced with the accurate multi-staged
fuel injection by the engine controller. It improves total engine durability
using the high-pressure fuel injection system developed specifically for
construction machinery. This excavator significantly reduces hourly fuel
consumption using the highly-efficient matching techniques of the engine
and hydraulic unit and also provides features that promote energy-saving
operations such as the E mode and ECO gauge.

Kekurangan :
1. Jika pekerjaan mempunyai volume yang relatif kecil tidak cocok menggunakan alat
berat dikarenakan biaya sewa yang dihitung per jam dan ada batas minimal jam sewa.
2. Sewa alat berat dalam hitungan jam dan belum termasuk biaya operasional bbm
(bahan bakar minyak) serta biaya angkutan alat berat ke lokasi.
3. Biaya sewa per jam kerja alat berat excavator/backhoe mulai dari Rp.160.000,-
sampai dengan Rp.350.000,- per jam dengan minamal waktu sewa 12 jam dan
ditambah biaya angkutan alat berat dinamakan mobilisasi demobilisasi.
4. Pada lokasi jalan yang sukar dijangkau seperti jalan sempit dan jalan banyak tikungan
tajam tidak dapat dijangkau truk pengangkut alat berat.
