1. (Newtonian’s Law of Viscosity) The results of rheometer test for 4 (four) different fluids (Fluid a, b, c, and d) are given
in Fig. 1a below.
a. Based on rheological behavior, determine fluid type of each fluids. (Points: 5)
b. Estimate fluid viscosity at various shear rate for all 4 (four) fluids and plot in “Viscosity vs Shear Rate” graph
provided in Fig. 1b below. (Points: 10)

2. (Unit conversions and Fluid Statics) An oil well with depth of 3500 ft is producing oil with density 39.6 °API. During
shut-in period, the wellhead pressure reading is stabilized at 1200 psig. Draw pressure profile along the wellbore
(Pressure vs Depth) and determine static bottom hole pressure (in psig). (Points: 15)
3. (Fluid Statics and Elementary Fluid Dynamics – Bernoulli Equation) Air is drawn into a wind tunnel used for testing
automobiles as shown in figure below.
