Davao City Police Director PSSUPT RONALD “Bato” MARAPON DELA ROSA, acquired
series of educational success both in the field of professional competence and police efficiency. He is
a holder of Doctorate degree in Philosophy Major In Development Administration in 2006 and
Master’s in Public Administration in 1998 at the University of Southeastern Philippines. A graduate of
the prestigious Philippine Military Academy under resilient Class ‘86 Sinagtala. His military and police
training is strengthened by his specialized studies abroad mainly in the US and Australia. He obtained
his Master’s degree in Criminal Justice System at the University of Virginia, USA and consistently at
the top of his class in several training courses. Credibly, he is a certified Career Service Executive
eligible (CSEE) by the Civil Service Commission.

PSSupt Dela Rosa’s pleasant attitude of being smart yet simple, welcoming, open-minded, and
diligent to work brought him to where and what he had become now. With his sound judgment in

drugs and have encouraged everyone to walk in confidence free from any obnoxious felons with

continuous and decisive stride in upholding peace and order making the City a home for many
productive ventures and endeavors.

His twenty seven (27) years of dedicated work and service prominently and significantly produced
remarkable history not just in the law enforcement community but has generated inspiring and
outstanding public service both in national government and private entities that reaped numerous
awards and appreciation for excellent performance with high level of self-sufficiency. At this point, it
is but timely that PSSUPT Dela Rosa’s strong and dynamic authority is worthy of a substantial
recognition in higher echelon.

governmental organizations

He is an active member of Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association (PMAAA) Eagle

Fraternal Chapter as socio-civic organization since 1986 whose membership is composed of PMA
graduates and ex-cadets. Its main objective is to help the poor and underprivileged through civic
action program. Apparently, he is very much involved both in government and non-government
organizations.

service for one has to surpass a tough and grueling operations and missions. As a result, he was
adjudged as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer of the Year (national level) in 2011 awarded by
Pres. BENIGNO AQUNIO, during the 110th Police Service Anniversary at Camp Crame, Quezon City,
and again this year, he is a recipient of the Achievement Award in the field of Police Operations
(Police Commissioned Officer level) during the 112th Police Service Anniversary, Camp Crame; Best
PAOCTF Satellite Office of the Year in 2000 and Best Regional Mobile Group of the Year in 1999.

Philippine National Police in general perception as his track record is viewed as the most respected
Senior Police Commissioned Officer whose brilliant commitment and devotion to duty is
