I.INTRODUCTION:

Computer is very important for people especially for working folks like us. Technology
and Creativity gave us this kind of gadget to make our life more easier and convenient life
Using gadgets like laptop and cell phone and etc. This things gave us connections which
is more easier to communicate and gather a lot of info’s. As generation passed by this
particular gadgets evolve which make us more techy in this years.

Network System also allows us to multiple devices within a network to communicate and
especially to share resources with each other device. This system includes us to share on
computer, printers, server and file server with a local network. So this system is very
important for the each of us because specifically this is our way of communicating to
other device. As we can see as often we use this things we also need to maintain them in
able to use them for long time. Maintaining this is our only task will keep the computers in
our organization to run properly. We should detect issues early, before they become
problems. Prevent computers against viruses and malware and of course keep antivirus
software up-to-date. This things might help us to save our computers and network system.

Lifespan of technology is increasing. While the cost of computing technology is

dramatically lowering. Hardware and software is still usable years after purchase, however
computers do require maintenance to work properly. Why regular maintenance is
necessary? It is easy to think computers are so advanced that they don’t have the same
problems as other machines. The common misconceptions is that once a computer is set
properly, it should work perfectly all the time. The truth is that a computer system is a
collection of complex machine and software, including moving parts.

1. How do you maintain and repair computer systems and networks?

-Things to Maintain and repair computer systems and networks.
 Back up your data
 Clean dust from your computer
 Clean up your cabling and everything else too
 Organize your installation disk
 Run antivirus and spyware and scan regularly
 Clean up your software
 Clean up your OS

2. What is maintaining computer systems?

-Maintaining a computer system includes its software maintenance and hardware
maintenance. Both software and hard ware of any computer systems….. it’s the regular
computer maintenance to prevent crashes.

3. What is computer maintenance and repair ?

-Computer maintenance it’s a practice of keeping computer in good state of repair.

4. How do you perform system maintenance?

 Keep the Keyboards, Mouse and open clean
 Gently clean your monitor
 Don’t overcharge your batteries
 Keep magnets away
 Be careful with unfamiliar wifi networks
5. What are the 4 types of maintenance?

 Corrective maintenance
 Perfective maintenance
 Preventive maintenance
 Adaptive maintenance

6. What are the benefits of computer maintenance?

-The main benefit of computer maintenance is that. It cleans your computer and give
best performance while working or using it. And lastly it gives your computer a long life
which you’ll be able to use it for a long time. It is important to know that maintenance it’s
is which we care of our belongings and giving it a long lasting life.

7. Why do we need maintenance?

-Things are just like humans so is the computer they also need a lot of care to prolong its
life and make it as competent as possible when an emergency come. Maintenance also
helps us to save money and time for repairing or buying a new one because these days
buying a computer will cost big money. If you have one, maintaining it would be the best
choice for you.

8. Why do we need maintenance strategy?

-The maintenance strategy that you follow has a significant impact on your computer. It’s
important to develop a mix of different strategies to properly maintain your assets and
ensure that they remain in working order. There are three basic types of maintenance
strategies:
 Preventive Maintenance- Is maintenance that takes place before something breaks
down. It is a time-based or meter count based approach that is carried out at
predetermined intervals to reduce failure risk or performance degradation of assets.
The aim of preventive maintenance is to minimize unplanned downtime and
reduce repair costs. Preventive maintenance cannot always prevent asset failure

 Reactive maintenance- Also known as the run-to-failure strategy, is when you take
action after an asset fails. Since you only spend money when something breaks, the
reactive maintenance approach might seem cheaper but it costs you more in the
long run. Reactive maintenance shortens the life of assets and may cause them to
break down more frequently. When you are in reactive maintenance mode, most
of your daily maintenance activities are driven by unforeseen problems.

 Predictive maintenance- Is a condition-based approach to maintenance. Rather

than servicing assets on a fixed schedule, you evaluate the condition of
components to determine whether they need to be serviced. Predictive
maintenance is suited to your largest, most expensive, and most complex assets. It
should be combined with preventive maintenance for the best results.
