Ethics ~

Ethics, also called as moral philosophy, the control worried about what is ethically acceptable
and terrible and ethically good and bad. The term is also applied to any framework or hypothesis
of virtues or standards. It is also the process of questioning, discovering and defending our
values, principles and purpose. It’s about finding out who we are and staying true to that in the
face of temptations, challenges and uncertainty.

Importance of Integrity ~
This is one of the most important traits we can ever develop to enhance every part of our life, the
value of integrity. It is the core quality of a successful and happy life. Having a integrity in our
life means being totally honest and truthful. It is also the foundation of character. A person who
has integrity also has an absolute character in every part of their life. One of the most important
activities you can engage in is developing your character.

The difference between Moral, Ethics and Law ~


Ethics and morals both refer to a set of principles used to dictate behavior. Ethics tends to be
used when describing such a set of principles held collectively by a group of professionals, and
morals when used with respect to individuals. While, Law speaks to those parts of an individual
moral code that can be both all inclusive, and discipline used to Beth prevent and punish the
individuals who violate. Simply, Law is for the society.

Ethics in Business World ~


It revolves around relationships. These relationships exist between businesses and consumers on
multiple social and economic levels. Business ethics therefore, define the relationship between
an individual and a business, or may apply to employees, various areas of government, and the
community as well.
Corporate Social Responsibility ~
It mainly focuses on taking responsibility for one’s own actions. It is a promise everyone
should make for the society while working for the social, cultural and, ecological causes.
These responsibilities are ethically binding and propose that each person acts in such a
way that minimizes the adverse effect to those immediately around them.

Creating an Ethical Work Environment ~


Ethics in the workplace are vital, even to small business owners. No company wants to be known
as unethical, and employees are about to display higher morale and more productivity when they
know they are working for a morally sound company. It is important to create a conscientious
workplace that is transparent, both to employees as well as the general public. Small business
owners should never tolerate inappropriate behavior in an employee and employees should be
properly trained on what is considered unethical and ethical.

Ethics in IT ~
Computers and information systems are used everywhere in society. New technologies are
invaluable tools but they may have serious ethical consequences. The way an information
technology tool affects sensitive issues has a direct impact on its effectiveness and usability. It
may be difficult for users and stakeholders to adopt a computer system if they feel that its use
violates important values and interests. To take advantage of a computer tool may not be easy in
situations dominated by ethical conflicts. There is a great risk that expensive but necessary
computer systems are abandoned because of scandals and conflicts. There is also a risk that
ethically controversial systems are used sub optimally, that persons may get hurt, and that
organizations may be damaged if they hesitate to use otherwise important and necessary
computer tools.

Ethics in IT aims at the construction of tools that can be applied in systems development and use
for the consideration of significant ethical aspects. The application of suitable ethical tools is a
prerequisite to consider significant aspects in all phases of computer systems development,
implementation and use
