-Collaborating with related professionals-

How do you collaborate with other teachers or other related professionals?

The teacher collaborates with other teachers by, involving the classroom next door, which is
in the same grade in group projects, debate conversations in the history lesson, pop quizzes
and spelling bees.

Working together is easier or harder?

The teacher found it challenging in the beginning by working together. The teacher states
that the trick to working together is finding qualities each teacher had in a specific subject
and being responsible to advance the lesson for each student being visual or verbal to
understand.

Do you see improvement in your school or classroom when collaborating?

The teacher explains that yes, she sees improvement in the school and also the education in
the children by them being excited to learn.

-Collaborating with parents-

How do you collaborate with parents? How do you involve parents in education?

The teacher collaborates with parents by involving them in classroom field trips, book fair
and keeping them posted in the child’s education plan and how well there are doing in class.

What is the best way to reach every parent in the child’s education? Like relationship?

The teacher states that the best way to reach parents is by building a relationship and stating
to them that their child’s education is important to them as well as if they’re struggling to
ensure that it’s important to work together to make sure the child is getting the best
education.

For example, best way to reach out to parents is to call them from your classroom phone or
email. It’s important to note to use the sandwich method when taking to a parent.
-Collaborating with community-

How do you collaborate with the community? What is a way to involve the community in
your education?

The teacher collaborates with the community by involving the community and reaching out.
For example, when kids are learning about money renting a candy shop for an hour and going
on a field trip there. Provide them a dollar to spend and help them count their money to make
sure they can get that specific candy.

RTI

Does your school provide the RTI program?

The teacher states that yes, the specific school provides the RTI program.

Do you have a child or children in the RTI program?

The teacher states that yes, there are students in the RTI program that go to small groups
during class being math, reading, language or science.

What adaptations or accommodations are you providing? What do you do in different


situations when having to teach an RTI child?

In the teacher’s specific classroom knowing that some of students are in the RTI program it’s
important to always make sure they understand, are involved and feel comfortable.

What is best when the child is places tier three in RTI process?

The teacher explains that in tier three or RTI its more of a one on one learning style which
many times can help a child if he or she not able to be in a small group setting because of
distractions or may just need the extra explanation/ help.
