SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Experiential learning at its core. Take your class
outside for a day of rock climbing, caving, and
rappelling on amazing fossil-rich Ontario limestone to
promote confidence, teamwork, and communication.
This program introduces students to outdoor rock
climbing and outdoor adventure on the beautiful
Niagara Escarpment - a UNESCO biosphere reserve.
This program pairs nicely with course curriculum
ranging from, but not limited, to SHSM, Leadership
and Outdoor Education courses, physics, geography,
or geology. This program meets or exceeds all
OPHEA guidelines pertaining to Curricular Outdoor
Rock Climbing and is ideal for students from grade six
and up.
GYM TO CRAG SPORT CLIMBING
A one day and one evening course discussing
cliff etiquette, rock respect, and gaining
awareness of potential outdoor hazards. Be
prepared to cover information on how to
protect yourself before reaching the first bolt,
how to safely set up an anchor, and how to
rappel from anchors or top point. There will be
tips on placing and removing gear, lead
belaying, bailing off of a climb, and falling.
Participants are recommended to climb at 5.9+
level indoors, with knowledge of lead climbing.
