Poster Presentation Guidelines

• Greetings from team TANPAPS 2020


• We will be displaying only the posters brought in a physically printed format.
• TANPAPS 2020 has No e-posters and No e-presentation.
• All posters will be displayed for U S Nayak medal for best poster competition.

Poster Design
• Each poster should be 3 feet (width) x 4 feet (length) in size - Portrait mode.

• Posters will be displayed on poster boards in the designated area.


• Please mention your TANPAPS 2020 registration ID on the right top corner of your
poster.
• Leave one-inch (25 mm) space margin on all sides of the poster.
• The title of the poster should appear at the top in sentence case - font size 72 pt.
• Below the title, mention the author's name. font size - 36
• Only the presenting author’s name should be printed in the poster.
• No other authors’ name or the name or logo of institution / hospital / centre should
be present neither in the title nor in the content. Such mentions if present, would
invite disqualification.
• The photographs or radiological images used in the presentation should not contain
the name of institute/ hospital/ centre.
• Section Headings should be at around font size 32 pt, bold preferred. Avoid using all
capital letters, sentence case recommended.
• Rest of body text should be large enough (font size 24-28-point), and in sentence case.
• Use bulleted lists where possible instead of paragraphs.
• Prefer using italics instead of underlining.
• Avoid overcrowding of figures and cramming too many numbers into tables.
• No commercial activities or any advertising should be displayed.
• To ensure that the patient privacy has been protected, it is the responsibility of the
presenter to take necessary consent from the patients before displaying any photographs.
• Wherever possible the patients’ identity may be concealed by covering the eyes in the
photographs.
• Make sure to mention your disclosures, if any.

Printing
• Posters may be done by flex printing.
• Posters should be prepared in advance and brought to the conference venue by the
delegates.
• The conference organizers will NOT be able to receive any posters.

Display
• The poster area will be ready on 7th February and the presenters can display their posters
on the same day in the board allotted to them.
• All posters will be displayed at the Venue - corridors.
• The presenters should display their posters in the designated area only.
• Please contact the organizing committee members for any queries at the poster
display area.
• For competitive posters, ONLY the presenting author must be present at their poster
display board during the judge’s assessment without any excuse, at the scheduled time.
• The time of assessment will be announced later.
• At the time of assessment by judges, overcrowding of the display area to be avoided.

End of Display
• Poster display will end on 9thFebruary at 1 pm. Delegates are requested to retrieve
their posters by then.
• Posters left up after that will be discarded.
