(1.0cm, 0). What is the work done in moving a fourth charge Q4 (of charge +40 statC) from point

3. A point charge of +24 statC is placed 6sm from a second point charge of -12 statC. (a) What
force is exerted on each charge? (b) what is the resultant force on a charge of +3 StatC placed

(c) at a point inside the sphere, 0.1m below the surface. Ans. (a) 7.438N/C; (b) 11.1111N/C;(c) 0

8. Charges +Q,+Q, and -Q are placed at the vertices of an equilateral triangle whose side is ‘S:
a. What is the potential energy for a charge +q at a point a, the centroid of the triangle, due to
these 3 charges?
b. What is the potential at point ‘A’, the centroid of the triangle, due to these 3 charges?
