Air pollution in Hyderabad

INTRODUCTION
Pakistan is included those countries whose population is rapidly increasing because of
unemployment peoples are encourage to settle in cities permanently. According to
population Sindh is the second largest state(province) of Pakistan and Hyderabad is the
2nd largest city of Sindh province Consist the population of 5.6 million. Many
infrastructure creates many problem of traffic control, roads goes shorter and shorter.
There is no way to control air pollution in that’s city. Today we talk about that problem
its side effects on human health and the way how it can control.

There is a great work has been done in that topic of Air pollution like Urban air pollution
is relatively a recent phenomenon as urbanization and related problems start gaining an
increasing attention. (Boubel, Fox et al. 1994) stated
that during last few decades people will experiencing a shift in nature of air pollution
from spatially localized issue to much wider and ubiquitous phenomenon. Along with
the global concern on air pollution changed
from those closely related to particular point sources such as Sulphur dioxide and
hydrogen fluoride to the ones associated with mobile or even non-point sources
such as carbon monoxide, oxide of nitrogen, hydrocarbons and secondary pollutants,
e.g. photochemical ozone. The change driven largely by boosting motor vehicle
population will documented elsewhere ((Faiz, Weaver et al.,1996) (Mage, Ozolins et al.
1996) and it posed the governments and those policy makers to tackle a new challenge
of air pollution management and related environmental issues. Despite above trends in
transition of the air pollution problems, each country, region and area have different
problems attributed by their degree of development, culture, geography and
characteristic.

The health crisis in our country are rapidly increasing and we know that, this is due to
different type of pollutants in many things like air, water etc. many people suffer
different disease like asthma, T.B, hepatitis(B & C), etc. In Hyderabad there is a huge
traffic jam in different time has been seen, which creates huge amount of ash, that is
directly prohibited for health because in that ash many type of gaseous are added like
carbon-monoxide, carbon dioxide etc. We get the level of air pollution in different areas
of Hyderabad through some methods and then we get a way that how it can control.
Air pollution in Hyderabad

Objectives
 To provide the information of Air pollution & its problems in common
public due to this proposal.
 Suggests the peoples that how they take the safety ways to maintain there
health.
 To Suggests the government to take step against Air pollution problems on
living organism as well as our Atmosphere.
 Give the literature of Air pollution of upcoming students
 To give the detail of Environmental Agencies that what type of gaseous are
increasing in Atmosphere
 Provide the importance to previously researched journals through
references.

Methdology
We choose the material from different areas and from different sources that have
available in our Geography Department Lab like flame photometer and spectrometer
this devices use in Chemical lab for different experiments but we uses to know that Air
pollution Level in different areas and roads of Hyderabad.

Flame Photometer
The PFP7 is a low temperature, single channel flame photometer that is designed for
the routine determination of sodium, potassium, calcium, barium and lithium
concentrations. The flame failure safety system makes these products ideal for use in
industrial and educational environments. The use of fine and coarse sensitivity controls
allows for accurate measurements each and every time
Spectrometer
A spectrometer is an apparatus to measure a spectrum.[1] Generally, a spectrum is a
graph that shows intensity (physics) as a function of wavelength, of frequency,
of energy, of momentum, or of mass.

Sample collection
The process of collecting samples of dust will conduct using a device (spectometer), and
this require knowledge of the weather on a daily basis and accurately by observing the
site and going to the site of sample collection before the start of the dust storm
expected to occur in the area of measurement; for taking advantage of time which has a
capacity to collect the samples, which requires at least three consecutive hours in the
case (the case of the collection of the sample outdoors and the status of the collection
of the sample indoors).

Significance:
We are concerned about pollution problems. These concerns range
from odor problem to destruction of ozone layer in our atmosphere. By doing this
research we could be able to aware the people who are living in that part. This
research’s primary data could be implemented in future.
