II. SUMILLA
Naturaleza: La asignatura es de formación general y de naturaleza
eminentemente práctica.
Propósito: Lograr en el estudiante la competencia comunicativa en idioma inglés
mediante el desarrollo de las cuatro habilidades lingüísticas: hablar, escuchar,
escribir y leer a un nivel básico de acuerdo al nivel A1.1 del Marco Común
Europeo de referencia para las lenguas.
Contenidos básicos: El curso comprende un contenido gramatical, lexical,
fonético y socio- cultural en donde se utiliza diferentes estructuras y tiempos
gramaticales, con un vocabulario contextualizado; así como el desarrollo de las
habilidades lingüísticas comunicativas y de interacción social, correspondiente a
un nivel de dominio básico I.

III.COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is intended to starter students of English who will develop different skills through the process of
development of the course. Not only will it be listening, speaking, reading, and writing focused on the course but
also pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and spelling due to all of them play a role in effective English
communication. On the other hand, a variety of activities will be taken in consideration in order to increase the
students’ involvement and social interaction, focusing on “real life” communication, the intercultural and mutual
respect.

IV.GENERAL OBJECTIVES

 To begin and support students through the learning process of English as a foreign language.
 To increase student’s involvement and interaction.
 To encourage students to make the exercises creative, active, and varied.
 To talk about topics in real life situation according to the level.
 To develop oral proficiency by listening and speaking English.
 To identify and recognize grammar features in different texts.
 To produce grammatically accurate sentence and short compositions.
 To acquire an adequate pronunciation and vocabulary during the process of learning.

VI. METHODOLOGY

 Communicative activities will be developing during the whole process of learning task-based learning.

6.3 PROCEDIMIENTOS
 Class activities will include short reading selections and media information and vocabulary practice.
 Recycling will be developing constantly, making the learning experience more tangible and achievable.
 Student’s will engage in library research utilizing technological resources, like internet and information
media, to design and produce oral creative presentations.

The teacher and students will choose from among the following resources to enhance the teaching/learning
process.

VIII. ASSESMENT & GRADING POLICY


8.1 Diagnóstica : Se programará una evaluación diagnóstica al inicio del semestre.
8.2 Formativa : El progreso del aprendizaje del alumno será evaluado constantemente.
8.3 Requisito de evaluación:
 De los inhabilitados: El 30% de inasistencia dará lugar a la inhabilitación de la asignatura.
 De los rezagados: Se considerará rezagado al alumno que no se presenta a rendir las
evaluaciones programadas por lo que se hará acreedor a la nota equivalente a cero (00), salvo
justificación probatoria para que sea evaluado en otra fecha y por ser extemporánea la nota no
será mayor de quince (15).
 De los desaprobados: Los alumnos que luego de promediar sus notas obtuvieran menos de 10.5
quedarán desaprobados en la asignatura.
 Del medio punto: El medio punto sólo beneficiará al alumno en el promedio final de la asignatura.

PROJECT WORK
LEVEL BASIC ENGLISH I
TIME 8 WEEKS
DESCRIPTION This project is designs to develop student´s speaking abilities, according to the topics
learned, in a systematically way.
The students have to explain some topics they have studied using their own words.
SKILLS SPEAKING, LlSTENING, READING, WRITING
MATERIALS Internet, papers, pictures, books, cell phones, camera, etc.

PREPARATION First part: The topics are divided and given to each group in order to be explained.
Second Part. The students will explain their topic they get.
