A​ ll  praises  and  thanks  are  for  Allaah  alone,  we  seek  His  help  and 

forgiveness.  We seek refuge in Allah from the evil within ourselves and the 
consequences  of  our  evil  deeds.  Whoever  Allaah  guides  will  never  be 
misguided, and whoever Allah leads astray will never find guidance.  
 
I  (openly)  testify  (to  the  fact)  there  is  nothing  that  has  a  right  to  be 
worshipped  but Allah, alone without any partners, and I (openly) testify (to 
the  fact)  that  Muhammad  ‫​و‬   ​ ‫​ا‬    is  His  servant  and  His  Messenger. 
Allah the Exalted said in which translates to mean​: 
 
  “O  you  who  have  believed,  fear  Allah  as  He  should  be  feared  and  do  not 
die except as Muslims in submission to Him.” (3:102) 
 
Allah  the  Exalted  said  (in  which  translates  to  mean):  ​“O  mankind,  fear 
your  Lord,  Who  created  you  from  one  soul  and  created  from  it  its  mate 
and  dispersed  from  both  of  them  many  men  and  women.  And  fear  Allah, 
through  Whom  you  ask  one  another,  and  the  wombs.  Verily,  Allah  is  ever 
watching over you.” (4:1) 

And  the  Exalted  said  (in  which  translates  to  mean)​:  “O  you  who  have 
believed,  fear  Allah  and  speak  words  of  appropriate  justice.  He  will  then 
amend  for  you  your  deeds  and  forgive  your  sins,  and whoever obeys Allah 
and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.” (33:70-71) 

Verily,  the  most  truthful  speech  is  the  Book  of  Allah,  the  best  guidance  is 
the  guidance  of  Muhammad  ‫​و‬   ​ ‫​ا‬  ,  and  the  worst  affairs  are  newly 
invented  matters.  Every  newly  invented  matter  is  a  religious  innovation, 
and  every  religious  innovation  is  misguidance,  and  every  misguidance  is 
in the Hellfire.

Dear  parents,  caregiver,  and/or  educator.  The  PDF  between your hands is 

my  humble  contribution  and  (small)  effort  in  the  field  of  Da’wah,  in  shaa 
Allaah.  With  high  hopes,  aspirations,  and  anticipation,  I desire acceptance 
from Allaah.  

This  PDF  is  the  first  in  a  series  of  Islamic  Creed  for  the  youth  ages  13  and 
up.  The PDF between your hands consists of various translated quotes and 
statements of Tawheed and Shirk.  

In  our  times  with  so  much  misguidance  and  turmoil  in  the  world,  our 
youth  are  in  dire  need  of  the  aqeedah  saheehah  (authentic  creed).  With 
this  in  mind,  I  decided  to  compile  my  translations  into  this  PDF  booklet 
for  the  benefit  of  the  youth.  This  PDF  consist  of  21  short  chapters.  Each 
one  consisting  of  a  quote,  fatwa,  and/or  sayings  in  relation  to  the 
authentic  creed.  Understanding  that  we  are  in  the  age  of  technology,  I 
have  designed  these  PDFs  keeping  in  mind  that  many  of  our  youth  have 
left  reading  books,  in  exchange  for  the  handheld  device.  Therefore,  it  is 
sweet and simple.  

Special  thanks  goes  out  to  our  brother  Abu  Suhayla  of  Synonymous  Arts, 
for  his  selfless  efforts  in  designing  the  cover  page  and  other  designs  in 
assisting  the  da’wah.  Additionally,  our  brother  Abu  Bilal  Fareed  Nayeem

  I  hope  by  the  permission  of  Allaah,  that  these  PDFs  act  as  a  panacea  for 
correcting  and  dispelling  the  corrupted  creed  of  Ahlul  bid’ah.  A  creed, 
which  is  ever  prevalent  today  via the ​“internet scholars” and callers to the 
doors  of  the  Hellfire  in  our  time,  as  the  Messenger  of  Allaah  ‫​و‬   ​ ‫​ا‬   
mentioned. Those callers who seek to confuse and mislead the youth. 

We  also  desire  that  these  PDFs  act  as  a  refresher  and  reminder  for  the 
parents,  caregivers,  and  educators  alike,  in  the  cultivation  process  of  our

 Chapter One: 
DOES THERE EXIST A DIRECTION FOR ALLAAH?
 

A​sh-Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih Al-Uthaymeen  ‫​ا‬  ‫ر‬ said: We intend 

in  this  explanation,  that  we  clarify  (the  following):  Is  a  direction  ​(1) 
affirmed  for  Allaah,  The  Most  High,  or  (is  it)  negated  from  him?  The 
realization  in  this  (matter is): That it is not correct absolutely (to ascribe) a 
direction  ​(2)  ​for  Allaah  The  Most  High,  nor  negate  it  and  nor  affirm  it; 
rather, it is inevitable elaboration: 
 
If  what  is  intended  with  it  ( ‫)ا‬  is  the  lowest  direction,  then  it  is  negated 
from  Allaah,  and  not  possible;  because  Allaah  The  Most  High,  it  is 
imperative  for  Him  ‫ا‬  Al-Uluw  (Highness)  absolutely   ​ ‫​و‬  ‫ذا‬  in  His 
(Divine)  Self  and  His  (perfect)  Attributes.  If  what  is  intended  with  it  ( ‫)ا‬ 
Highness  encircled  by  (His  creation),  therefore,  this  is  negated  from 
Allaah,  and  also  not  possible:  indeed  Allaah  is  the Greatest and Most Lofty 
from being encompassed from something of His creation.  
 
How  (is  it  possible,  that  He  is  encompassed  from  His  creation),  while  His 
Kursi  (Footstool)  is  vaster  than  the  Heavens  and  the  Earth?  ​“  ​...the  earth 
will  be  grasped  by  His Hand and the heavens will be rolled up in His Right 
Hand.  Glorified  be  He,  and  High  be  He  above  all  that  they  associate  as 
partners  with  Him!”​ (A ​ l-Zumar:  67)  And  if  it  is  intended  Jihah  Uluw  as  it 
relates  with  His  Greatness  and  His  Loftiness  without  Him  being 
encompassed  (by  His  creation),  therefore,  this  is  a  well-established 
reality/right for Allaah The Most High - and due to Him.

 Chapter Two: 

 
CAN A MUSLIM SAY “GOD” INSTEAD OF ALLAAH? 

Q​uestion:  Is  it  permissible  that  we  say  God  when  speaking  to  a 
non-Muslim instead of saying Allaah?  
 

R​esponse:  ​(1)  ​Shaykhana  Ash-Shaykh  'Eid  Al-Kayaal  ‫​ا‬    said:  The 

word  ‫ا‬  ​(God)  is  in  a  form  that  is  ‫ ة‬  (undefined)​.  Allaah  said  it  is  a  must 
that  we  use  terms  that  are lofty, or Names from His Names that are Husna 
(Good).  
As  far  as  names  that  are  (used  for  Allaah)  in  an  undefined  mode,  this, 
without doubt, is not permissible.

 Chapter Three: 
THAT WHICH IS SPECIFIC TO TAWHEED OF WORSHIP 

From that which is specific to al-Uluhiyyah (Tawheed of Worship): 

● The  sujuud​:  Those  who  prostrate  for  other  than  Him  (Allaah), 
indeed have made comparison with Him 
● At-Tawakul:  Those  who  trust  upon  other  than  Him,  indeed  have 
made comparison with Him. 
● At-Tawbah​:  Those  who  repent  to  other than him, indeed have made 
comparison with Him. 
●   ​The  swearing  with  His  (Great)  Name​:  Those  who  swear  by  other 
than Him, indeed have made comparison with Him. 
● The  slaughtering  for  Him​:  Those  who slaughter for other than Him, 
indeed have made comparison with Him.

 Chapter Four: 
WHAT DOES THE WORD “ALLAAH” MEAN?

​I​bn Abbaas ​ ‫​ا‬ ‫ ر‬said about the word “Allaah”:  

“Allaah is the Owner of Divinity and worship over all of His creation”. ​(1)

(1)  Some  sources  say  that  the  statement  is  weak;  however,  the  scholars  state  that  the 

meaning  is  authentic.  Scholars  such  as  Ash-Shaykh  Saalih  Al-Fawzaan  ‫​ا‬  ,  Abdur 

Rahman  As-Saadi' ‫​ا‬,  ‫ر‬  and  others,  have  used  this  definition  when  explaining  the 

word  “Allaah”.  This  can  also be found in the explanation of Kitaab at Tawheed, entitled 

Fathul Majid.  

 
 Chapter Five: 
TAWHEED IS FROM THE GREATEST CAUSES OF EXPANDING THE CHEST 

I​bn Al-Qayyim ‫​ا‬ ‫ ر‬said:  

"The  greatest  of  causes  for  the  expansion  of  the  chest:  The  Tawheed, 

according  to  its  perfection,  and  its  strength,  and  its  increase  (which)  will 

open  the  breast  for  its  possessor.  Allaah  The  Most  High  said  (which 

translates to mean): 

"Is  he  whose  breast  Allaah  has  opened  to  Islam,  so  that  he  is  in  light from 

his Lord..." (39:22) 

And Allaah The Most High said (Which translates to mean):  

"And  whomsoever  Allaah  intends  to  guide,  He  opens  his  breast  to  Islam; 

And  whomsoever  He  wills  to  send  astray,  He  makes  his  breast  closed  and 

constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky." (6:125) 

Therefore,  the  guidance  and  the  Tawheed  is  from  the  greatest  causes  of 
opening  the  breast, and shirk and misguidance is from the greatest causes 
of constricting/tightening the breast.

 Chapter Six: 
THE ENTIRE QUR'AN IS ABOUT TAWHEED

All  the verses in the Qur'an comprise of At-Tawheed, bearing witness with 

it  and  calling  to  it, indeed the Qur'aan either reports about Allaah, and His 

Names  and  Attributes,  and  His  Actions.  This  is  The  Tawheed  of  Al-'Ilmee 

al-Khabaree​(1)  ​And  either  it  calls  to  His  worship  alone  without  partners 

for  Him  and  removes  all  that  is  worshipped  besides  Him.  This  is  the 

Tawheed Al-Iraadee At-Talabee ​(2)

 Chapter Seven: 
IMPORTANCE OF THE REMEMBERANCE OF ALLAAH

"I  heard  Shaykhul  Islaam  ibn  Taymiyyah  ‫​ا‬  ‫ر‬  say:  "The  remembrance  of 

Allaah  for  the  heart  is  like  water  for  the  fish.  How  would  the  state  of  the 

fish be, if separated from the water (except dead)?"

Chapter Eight: 
TAWHEED IS THE CURE 

S​haykh Al-Fawzaan said: 

"Weakness  of  the  Aqeedah is the real disease, which is obligatory to cure it 

with the knowledge of At-Tawheed, and the correct Aqeedah".

Chapter Nine: 
TAWHEED IS THE FIRST OBLIGATION 

S​haykh Haafidh Al-Hakamee ‫​ا‬ ‫ ر‬said:

  "The  first  obligation  upon  the  servant,  is  knowledge  of  the  Most  Merciful 

with Tawheed."

 Chapter Ten: 
THE REAL TESTIFICATION 

S​haykh Al-Fawzaan ‫​و ​ور ه‬ ‫​ا‬ said: 

  "The  (real)  testimony  of  La  ilaaha  illallah  is  not  merely  a  statement  said 

with the tongue. Rather, it is declaration of belief and action."

 Chapter Eleven:  
TAWHEED FIRST 

S​haykh 'Abdil 'Aziz Ahl Shaykh said: 

"Callers  of  Islaam:  it  is  an  obligation  upon  you  that  you  make  the  affair  of 

Tawheed your uttermost concern, and your greatest goal."

 Chapter Twelve: 
THE ENEMIES OF TAWHEED 

S​haykh ibn Baaz ‫​ا‬ ‫ ر‬said: 

"Hostility  for  this  nation  (Saudi  Arabia)  is  hostility  to  the  truth,  and 

hostility for Tawheed, and its enemies (are) either ignorant or atheist."

 Chapter Thirteen: 
THE CURSE OF ALLAAH IS UPON HIM! 

   
 

A​bu Zur'ah Ar-Raazi ‫​ا‬ ‫ ر‬was asked about the explanation: 

"The Most Merciful ascended over the Arsh"​ [20:5] 

He  said:  "Its  explanation  is  as  read:  He  (Allaah)  is  over  the  Arsh  (in  a 

manner  that  befits  Him),  and  His  knowledge  is  in  every  place.  Those  who 

say other than this, upon him is the curse of Allaah!"

 Chapter Fourteen: 
REMOTENESS FROM ALLAAH 

I​bn Al-Qayyim ‫​ا‬ ‫ ر‬said: 

"Indeed  the  neglectful  one,  between  him  and  between  Allaah  is 

remoteness that will not cease, except with His remembrance."

 Chapter Fifteen: 
HONOR IS IN OBEDIENCE TO ALLAAH 

S​ome of the pious predecessors used to say: 

"The  people  seek  prestige  with  the  doors  of  the  kings  and  they  will  not 

find it, except in the obedience to Allaah."

 Chapter Sixteen: 
BEWARE OF SHIRK 

I​bn Taymiyyah ‫​ا‬ ‫ ر‬said: 

"The  Auwliyaa  of  Allaah;  they  are  the  believers  who  fear  Allaah,  and  their 

honor  is  the  fruit  of  their  imaan,  and  their  fear  of  Allaah.  Not  the  fruit  of 

shirk, innovation, and sinfulness."

SHIRK IS THE GREATEST CORRUPTION

'Shirk  is  the  greatest  corruption  in  the  earth; rather, the corruption in the 

earth, in fact, is shirk with Allaah, and differing from His command."

Chapter Nineteen: 
TAWHEED IS THE FOUNDATION 

S​haykh 'Abdil Aziz bin Baaz ‫​ا‬ ‫ ر‬said: 

"The  basis  of  the  religion  and  its  foundation  is  the  Tawheed of Allaah, and 

sincerity  for  Him, and directing the heart to Him, and specifying Him with 

worship."

NOTHING SHOULD BE MORE FEARED

 Chapter Twenty-one: 
THE ONE WHO TURNS AWAY FROM TAWHEED 

 
   

I​bn Al-Qayyim ‫​ا‬ ‫ ر‬said: 

"The  one  who  turns  away  from  Tawheed  is  a  Mushrik,  (whether)  willingly 

or  haughtily.  And  the  one  who  turns  away  from  the  Sunnah,  (whether) 

willingly or haughtily, is a misguided innovator."
