Finding passion in Psychology

IMU in November 2018 and
is now focusing on sharp-
ening and enhancing his
repertoire of skills as an
emcee (Master of Cere-
monies), to volunteer at or-
ganisations that provide
mental health services, and
to eventually pursue my .

Winning, talking and chal-
lenging. Those w e r e the
three things I had in mind as I
searched high and l o w f o r a
career t o spark passion and
meaning. G r o w i n g up as an
athlete, competitiveness was
not foreign t o me, and I al-
ways wondered, if mental
f o r t i t u d e w o u l d t r u m p phys-
ical strength. Moving on t o
people where I constantly
found them rarely having
someone t o rely on, t o lend
an ear o r a shoulder t o cry
on. There have been count-
less times, w h e r e those
around me, including myself,
confided t o someone and
shared a small struggle only
t o be scoffed o r disregarded,
leaving them feeling small and
alone. There had to' be m o r e
t o human interaction!
