Fluids and Lubricating Greases
1 Lubricating Oils, Lubricating Greases and Coolants
1.1 Introduction
Atlas Copco fluids (oils, greases and coolants) are specifically made for Atlas Copco
equipment. Using these products creates optimal machine condition and minimizes
breakdowns. Correct grade selection of lubricating oils, lubricating greases and cool-
ants improves and extends the efficiency and service life of vehicle components.

1.4 Specifications
Atlas Copco fluids (oils, greases and coolants) are specifically made for Atlas Copco
equipment. The table below, shows the range of products developed for Atlas Copco
Surface Drilling Equipment. If other fluids are used other than Atlas Copco fluids,
the minimum requirements listed in the table below must be met to ensure optimal
machine condition and to minimize breakdowns. Please refer to “Temperature
Zones” on page 3.

2.1 Introduction
This chapter contains recommendations regarding the fuel used with Atlas Copco
equipment. Fuel quality is a major factor determining engine performance, engine
life, and acceptable exhaust emission levels.
Diesel fuel should be used when using one of the following specifications:
DIN 51 601
BS 2869: A1 and A2
