At the end of the lesson, the students are able to:

a. Identify the objects that starts with letter A;

b. Write correctly the capital letter A and small letter a;

c. Appreciate the importance of letter A through the activity called Draw me

II. Learning Content:

A. Topic: Identifying the objects that starts with letter A.

To write correctly the capital letter A and small letter a.

Good morning class! Good morning too teacher!
How are you this morning? We’re good!
Now, let’s stand up for the prayer. (The kids stand and recite the prayer.)
Okay everybody sit down now.

A. Drill/review
Now class! What can you say about this picture? There are children and a teacher.

How about the way they sit? What can you say They are sitting properly teacher
about that?
Very good! So our first classroom rule is to sit
down properly. Sit down properly.
Again, what is our 1st classroom rule?
 No teacher.
Now, take a look at this children, are they talking to
each other?
Do not talk to your seatmate.
So meaning to say, our 2nd classroom rule is?

Very good!
Sit down properly and do not talk to your seatmate.
So again, what are those classroom rules that we
have?

Okay good!

B. Motivation (children are singing)

To start our class this morning we will sing the
ABC song . so the song goes this way!

C. Presentation of the Lesson: The letters in the alphabet teacher!

Okay, So the song is all about?
Very good, the letters in the alphabet or the
alphabet song.
So, this is letter A

A
Letter A is the first letter in the alphabet.
So this picture is the capital letter A, and this one is
the small letter “a”

D. Discussion
Okay so lets say that this is mommy A, and baby A Ah
So the sound of A is /a/
Everybody say “ah”

Now, what are the things that starts with letter A?

so in order for you to know, I have here a video.
Alligator, Apple, Astronaut, Axe, Alex, Alabama
Now, based on the video, what are the things that
starts with letter A?

E. Application:
Now this time, I’ll teach you how to write letter A
I’ll give you a practice sheet and I’ll use this big
notebook.

Let’s start with capital letter A.

Okay point your pencil here at the top. And make a

line down. Then go back to the top and make a line
down. Now go to the middle and make a line
across.

Now let’s write the small A.

Okay start at the middle and go all the way around.
Next go up and then down.

F. Generalization: Alligator, Apple, Astronaut, Axe, Alex, Alabama

Again what are those words that start with letter A?

IV. Evaluation:
Encircle the things that starts with letter A

V. Assignment:
Write the Capital letter “A” and small letter “a”
