Compare and Contrast Book and E-book

Reading is one of the most important things that must be done in our life.
Because by reading we know many things in the world and we get knowlade. We
usually read using books, magazines, or newspapers, and they are all made of
paper or we can call it as ‘traditional books’. As technology develops, books,
magazines and even newspapers can be put together. That is the ‘modern books’
or known as E-book (virtual books). Thesis statement differences and similarities
of book and book in terms of content, fuction, physical, duration of saving, and
practicaling.
The similarites between book and E-books is content. Many of the
conventions of a print book are used in an E-book. For example on the cover, both
books and ebooks have covers with the same image in terms of color and design.
Another example in terms of content istitle page, copyright page, table of content,
chapters, paragraphs, etc.
Other similarities from books and E-books is about function. They are a
medium of information for everyone. People will read both books and ebooks in
search of unknown knowledge. Scientists say that books are a window of world.
Books and ebook can be read repeatedly. Although it has the similarites about
book and ebook, but book and E-book have differences.
The difference between book and E-books is physical. Book is a stack of
usually rectangular pages (made of paper) oriented with one side tied, sewn, or
glued together and usually has hardcover for protect or catchy consumers to buy
from interest cover. Ebook is a digital or electronic book that is formatted into a
file that can be read on app. Making books requires a lot of paper, which is the
raw material for making paper. Besides reading the digital version will reduce the
use of paper and not cause waste and the price tends to be cheaper.
The difference between book and E-books is duration of saving. The
superiority of the E-book is also the old lasting. Unlike printed books, which can
turn yellow and get damaged, E-book actually last longer, as long as our data is
not attacked by viruses. With the installation of anti-virus software, the Ebook
will remain in good condition even for years. But both books and E-book all have
the same function, it's just that it depends on the person who uses it.
Another difference between book and E-book is practicaling. Book need more
space and have unequal weight per book. Bringing books in various places is not
practical. While the ebook only needs to carry a gadget and does not require much
space. But even so, most people still like to read books with the traditional version
while enjoying coffee or tea. For people who like efficient things tend to prefer
reading in a digital version (Ebook), because it is practical to carry anywhere. But
some people think that reading books directly is more convenient, and most
people who like to read books will like to collect readings to be used as memory
or just to be displayed on a bookshelf.
Conclusion from differences and similarities of book and book is both books
and ebooks have the same contents, both in terms of cover, title, reading content,
and others. books and ebooks are also a medium of information for everyone,
because reading we will get knowledge. Physically books and ebooks are
different. the book's physical form is printed on paper, while E-book is a digital
or electronic book that is formatted into a file. Book and E-book have a duration
of storage. books tend to be shorter if stored because paper books can be
destroyed over time, but if the old Ebook storage will depend on the virus on the
gadget. If based on practical, E-book is easier to carry anywhere compared to
books. Because the E-book only requires a gadget to carry, while the book has a
different weight for each book. But above all, books are the most basic tool for
achieving dreams. If we never read a book, we just live without getting the best
things in life. Becausea a room without book is like a body without a soul.
