CHAMBER  BACKGROUND   2011  FSHCC  Healthcare  Agenda  

Established in 2000, as Florida’s first and only


statewide business advocacy organization,
specifically focused on the Hispanic business
community in Florida. Florida State Hispanic
Chamber of Commerce, (FSHCC) has since
matured into one of the state’s most powerful
organization of employers, chambers of
commerce and associations, representing
thousands of Latino grassroots members with
many Florida based employees.

The Chamber primarily supports 6 key areas of


Hispanic business activation…

HEALTHCARE  DRIVERS   2011  FSHCC  Healthcare  Agenda  

The FSHCC Healthcare Agenda is driven by Mr.


Albert Collazo, Executive Board Member. Under
his direction, FSHCC is developing a
comprehensive Healthcare Agenda for 2011,
which is designed to serve the comprehensive
Healthcare Interests of thousands of employers
and millions of consumers across the great State
of Florida.

As we work collaboratively with each partner to


develop key programs throughout the year we will
use four primary activation drivers.

  Healthcare Access
  Medicare Reform Education
  Medicaid Reform Education
  Disease State Education

The following slide outlines an editorial calendar


which follows the National Health Observances
Calendar, and focuses on key issues and disease
states of particular relevance to the Latino
community.

Program Activation will be launched on the


Chamber’s FSHCC Business Network. A
coordinated PR push will support the launch as
well as each subsequent program.

A Field Activation Kit will be produced and be


made available to participating local Chamber
affiliates.

Local affiliate chamber’s make the kits available


to participating Florida Employers.

Each calendar month, FSHCC will feature

FSHCC Serves a Statewide Hispanic business


audience. As such, our messaging and programs
must address the issues we cover from a corporate/
small business perspective.

Our primary business audience is made of up of


dozens of local market Hispanic chambers across
the state. FSHCC relies on these, to activate
programs on a local level.

In an effort to provide a turn-key solution to these


vital team members, we will create field activation
kits for each program which includes at minimum the
following items.

PROGRAM  UNDERWRITING  CONSIDERATIONS   2011  FSHCC  Healthcare  Agenda  

Option #1:

FSHCC works collaboratively with top-tier


healthcare organizations through-out the
country. FSHCC will reach out to these
organizations for underwriting support. In
addition, each partner in the program shall
reach out to their centers of influence, in order
to secure underwriting sponsorships for each
program by relevant healthcare corporations
and brands. Sponsorship sales will be on a
case by case basis.

Option #2:

Each partners agrees to support the program


by providing necessary media assets on a
monthly basis and in accordance with the
FSHCC editorial calendar and for a fixed
monthly fee. We then work collaboratively to
secure a single sponsor to underwrite the full
cost of the annual agenda.
