INTRODUCTION:

Botanical classification of crop is the oldest and the most commonly ued method of classifying plants. It
was carolus linnaeous who originated the binomial system of plant nomenclature though the publication
of his book general plantarum his lead to the eventually modern tuxonomy or classification of plants.

OBJECTIVES:

At the end of activity the student must be able to.

1. Familiarize themselve w/ the botanical classification of most commonly used horticulture & agronomic
crops.

2. Get to know the scientific name of most of the agricultural crops.

2. Search & write down their scientific name.
