Over the course of five years at law school, my engagement with law, as an academic

discipline, has motivated me to pursue an inter-disciplinary approach in comprehending law

and public policy. I started off as a member of Legal Aid Cell, wherein I got the opportunity
to lead Legal Awareness Campaign. Subsequently, I was selected to deal with the clients,
who were counselled free of cost in our college. Client Counselling gave me the exposure to
understand the ways in which laymen are seeing the criminal justice system and the inscribed
punishment in it. During this process, I got acquainted with several criminal cases going on in
our society as a result of which I developed a keen interest in the field of criminology. In the
