The production is subjected to being adjusted to confirm to the gradation as per IS: 383-1970.

1. TARGET MEAN STRENGTH OF CONCRETE:

ft=fck+1.65 s
ft= Target Average Compressive Strength at 28 days
fck= Charateristic compressive Strength at 28 days
s= Standard devivation

As per IS 10262 the target mean Strength is =40+1.65x5.0


But As per MORT&H Table 1700-5 target mean strength to be adopted for M-40

As Per MORT Max. Water/ cement Prescribed for Normal Expose is 0.50, Based on trial
mixes adopted W/C Ratio is
