Topic: MAINTAINING AND REPAIRING AN ELECTRIC FAN


Duration: 2 hours G12 TVL-A 7:30 AM to 11:45 AM (M to F)

I. Objectives:
At the end of the session students are expected to:
1. Identify and connect the 14 wires of an electric fan using an ohmmeter
2. Develop accuracy in ones work.

A. Preliminary Activities

“What is it that has four feet in the morning, two at noon, and three at
night?”
B. Lesson Proper
1. Formative Assessment /Pre-test
Students will answer the KWL activities, using the questions
 What I know? Recall the motor parts of an electric fan.
 What I want to Know? Draw the three circuits of an electric fan
 What I learned? Identify and connect the 14 wires of an electric fan
using an ohmmeter.
2. Activity/Discussion
Facilitator will demonstrate resistance reading of the 14 wires of an electric fan
3. Assessment
Learners will re echo demonstration after the facilitator.
C. Evaluation
1. Learners will undergo individual performance in resistance reading with rubrics.
IV. Assignment
1. What are the different resistances in the winding circuit of an electric fan?
2. How about in the control circuit of an electric fan?
