What's new in Quick Heal Internet Security Version 11.00?

of what's new in the latest version of Quick Heal Internet Security.
Here is the list of new prominent features.

Enhancements in Version 11.00

- Quick Heal AntiVirus Plus has been renamed to Quick Heal
Internet Security. Antispam, Antiphishing, Antipopup features has
been integrated in Internet Security.
- Entertainment mode has been introduced. Using Entertainment
mode you will be able to play games, watch movies and use any
entertainment software without any interference by Quick Heal
and without reducing security of your computer.
- To improve security against malwares, Quick Heal has come up
with Self Defense feature. Malwares are now targeting AntiVirus
and security softwares by deleting their important files,
registry entries. Quick Heal files, folders & registry entries
will be now protected. User, Malware or any other application
will not be able to tamper Quick Heal files, folders and
registry entries.
- Web Browsing Protection has been introduced to prevent infections
from malicious websites.
- Quick Heal will now automatically detect newly mounted removable
drives (e.g. Pen drive, USB Hard Drives etc.) and prompt you to
scan the drives.
- Quick Heal Autorun Protection has been introduced to manage
autorun functionality of the PC and removable drives.
- Malware files are often packed with different packers.Quick Heal
identifies different packers and also gives option to filter files
based on packers used to pack them. You can also block
access/execution of files packed by particular packer.
- You can now directly add email address from mail client to
Anti-Spam Black list or White list. Currently this feature is
supported for MS Outlook and Eudora mail Client.
- Quick Heal 2010 consumes very less memory compared to last
version. This helps to improve performance of your system by
taking less system resources.
- Online Protection has been enhanced for following:
a. Online Protection will be compatible to SwitchUser Mode.
Online Protection icon will now be displayed in each
logged in user.
b. It will give you warning while disabling online protection.
User can now also be able to opt to Turn on online protection
after specific time interval.
c. It will also scan and delete a ZIP files containing infection.
d. Quick Heal System tray Icon will also be shown to the user
 even if Online Protection is permanently turned off.
- Memory Scanning has been enhanced for following:
a. It will also scan hidden processes running in memory.
b. It will also scan running drivers on the system.
c. It will also scan memory silently after every update.
This will ensure that system memory is clean after applying
the latest signature pattern updates.
- Quick Update has been enhanced for following:
a. Update size will be smaller.
b. Focus shifting problem in case of silent update has been
fixed.
c. It will keep reminding user to restart the system in
case of update which requires restart.
- Quick Heal is now compatible with 64 Bit Platforms. It will not
run under WOW64 anymore. It will be using full functionality
of 64-bit Operating System.
- You will also be able to send System Information even if you do not
have email client configured on your computer.
- Track Cleaner will also remove privacy traces of following applications
which can expose your privacy traces:

- Quick Heal Anti-Malware can also be scheduled for scan along with
Quick Heal AntiVirus Scan.
- Quick Heal will maintain reports in Reports section if you enable
or disable critical modules. It will generate reports of following
modules.

b. E-mail Protection
c. Automatic Update
d. Messenger
- Email Protection has been enhanced for following:
 a. It will also scan Phishing mails and tag them as SPAM.
b. It will also log sender information when it detects an infected
or suspicious mail.
- Native Boot Scan has been enhanced. Now it will also be supported
on 64-bit Operating System.

Enhancements in Version 10.00

- Quick Heal AntiMalware has been introduced. It s a new advanced
malware scanning engine which scans registry, files and folders
at lightening speed to thoroughly detect and clean Spywares,
Adwares, Roguewares, Dialers, Riskwares and lots of other
potential threats in your system.
- Quick Heal Upgrade Downloader has been introduced to automatically
download and install the latest Quick Heal software. It will
automatically download in the background and prompt you to upgrade
your existing Quick Heal software. No need of uninstallation and
re-installation to upgrade existing software.
- Quick Heal now provides statistics for Online Protection and Email
Protection.
- Schedule Scan Priority feature has been introduced. You can now
configure any one of the following schedule scan priority:
- High
- Normal
- Low
- Scan Mailbox scanning option has been added under Scan\My Profile
list so that you can easily scan your mailboxes. It supports Outlook
Express and Windows Mail.
- "Backup before Repairing" feature has been enhanced. Now it will
backup the infected file before cleaning. This feature has been also
added in Online Protection and Email Protection. This will help you
restore genuine file in case of false positive or improper cleaning.
- DBX Scanning has been improved. It will have 2 options i.e. Quick
Scan and Thorough Scan .
- Quick Heal Scan engine has been enhanced. Now Quick Heal performs
scanning much faster than the previous versions and also consumes
less memory.
- Native Boot Scan has been enhanced. It will not start on next boot
if terminated while scanning in native mode.
- 'Repair automatically, quarantine if unsuccessful option has been
added in Quick Heal Online Protection s options.
- Advanced tools have been introduced in this version. These advanced
tools will help user to perform following activities:
- Restore the default Internet Explorer settings.
- Restore the important system settings.
 - Remove Recent Files list that can expose your privacy.
- Provide important information of an application.
- Provide all important information related to your computer
such as running process, installed BHO s, toolbars installed
in Internet Explorer, installed ActiveX, Hosts, LSPs, Startup
Programs, Internet Explorer settings and Active network connection.
- Quick Heal Remote Support module has been introduced. Quick Heal Remote
Support module helps us to easily connect to your PC through the
Internet and provide remote support. This helps us to give you efficient
remote support as if our technical executives are there in front of your
PC. No installation is required.

- Quick Heal is now fully functional and compatible with Windows Server
2008 Operating System.
- Quick Heal Firewall Professional is now compatibile on Windows Vista,
Windows Server 2008 and 64-bit Operating Systems.
- Quick Heal Anti Rootkit has been introduced. It detects and removes
Rootkits from the system safely.
- New enhanced DNAScan that detects more malwares.
- Enhancements and optimization done to Scan engine which now has much
smaller updates and high scanning speed.
- Quick Heal Registry Scan feature has been introduced. It scans
critical system registry and other areas for the changes made
by malwares and repairs it.
- Quick Heal is now fully functional and compatible under restricted user.

- Scan Engine is optimized with change in definition file formats
that will result in smaller size updates.
- Native Scanner to disinfect your system from viruses in windows
native mode. Native scanner automatically gets schedule if virus
found during installation of Quick Heal. 'Native Boot Scan' Option
integrated under Scan->My Profile to schedule native scan manually.
- Create Emergency CD, Which can be used in emergency situation if
your system is infected by malwares which can be only disinfected
from boot shell.
- Create Emergency CD allows you to create Emergency CD with Native
Scanner embedded in it. This helps to clean badly infected PC with
NTFS volumes from CD.
- 'First Boot' scanning under Schedule Scan has been re-introduced.
Allows you to select scan at first boot instead of giving specific
time while scheduling the scan.
- 'Silent Scan" Option introduced under Schedule Scan to perform
schedule scan silently in the background.
-'Archive Scan layer' Option added under Archive Settings to set
scan level for Archive files.
-'Backup Before Repairing' option added under Scan Options to keep
a backup of infected file before repairing it.
- Scanning inside .SIS (Symbian OS file format used in Mobile phones)
file is supported.
- Mail Protection has been enhanced to support scanning in case of
switch users and terminal users.
- File accessing delayed from network/map drives due to Online
Protection has been fixed.

use and understand. The User Interface is designed totally starting
from scratch with keeping in mind the needs of users as we have
analyzed feedback of 100s of users on it.
- DNAScan Technology it s a signature free technology not dependent
on upgrades to detect new malwares. It looks at the genes of the
program to discover if it has any malicious intent. It will protect
your system from new and unknown threats.
- Powerful platform independent scan engine new version is build upon
a new advanced scan engine which is designed on a total platform
independent technology. Its more fast and can scan inside multiple
layers of archive and embedded files.
- Support for new archive formats like CHM, GZ, TAR, and TNEF is added.
- Drag N Drop scanning has been added in the scanner. Now you can
simply drag and drop any files or folder on Quick Heal Scanner, it
will scan the provided object and let you informs the result.
- Quick Heal Scanner now supports multiple instances loading. Now multiple
instances of scanner can be loaded to scan different location at the
same time.
- More control while scanning is taking place, with user having facility
to skip a folder or a file that is being scanned at a click of a button.
- Memory scanning has been enhanced. Now you have option to scan memory for
running processes or running process along with their dynamic libraries.
DNAScan has been also implemented in memory scanning which detects and
eliminates new malicious threats even without updating the Anti-Virus.
- Automatic and e-mail client independent mail protection, that scans emails
in real time for any POP3 e-mail client.
- Hourly update system has been introduced.
- Service Packs for Quick Heal can be applied using normal updates only. This
removes the restrain of downloading and applying separate service pack
executables.
- Automatic update is now more optional. Now you may or may not have the
Update notification window in case of automatic updates.
- Powerful Quarantine tool has been integrated. DNAScan suspected file can be
submitted to Research Lab using Quarantine tool.
- Schedule scan has been improved. Now you can have multiple schedule scans at
different time for different locations. Additionally you can also repeat the
schedule scan at your desirable time.
- New emergency disk feature has been introduced. Now you can have your
Emergency disk or Command line scanner sets ready at any time. Keep
your AntiVirus updated and gets the updated copy of Emergency disk or
Command line scanner using Emergency Disk Tool.
- New Virus list feature has been introduced. Virus List automatically reads
the virus name and their categories type from Signature pattern files and
shows you always update list viruses and other malwares detected by
Quick Heal.
- Password Protection has been introduced. Now secure your Quick Heal settings
with Password Protection.
- Now you have option to delete the Reports and Quarantined files at specific
schedules.
- DBX scanning has been improved. Now while repairing under DBX the infected
part will be deleted only instead of entire mail.
