CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
Modern technology provides a huge impact and influenced the people’s lifestyle.
The Electrical power supply is the most important thing in this modern day. Most
of the daily use equipment needs an electrical power supply to operate. Without
this, it can make our daily life more miserable than before. One of the biggest
problems that are being faced by the Filipinos is on how to save energy and
avoid high monthly electric bills in order to save money for household budget.
Portable gadgets gain attention for its increasing demand, and it has been quite a
challenge especially in the battery industry and most of the commonly used of
today’s generation is the mobile phones. Recharging a mobile phone is one of
the primary concerns of the people who use it every day. A typical mobile device
uses wall sockets for charging before it can be used and carried. Thus, the
reliability of these devices is only limited through the availability of charging
receptacles and its battery capacity. A better solution would be to use auxiliary
power source or a power bank. With the rapid development of global economy,
people continued to carry more portable electronic products, as mentioned
earlier, which are drained or discharged as a result of longtime uses.
Power bank are portable device that is used to charge any mobile devices.
Power banks have become more popular as the battery life of mobile phones and
one of the most important devices for any digital devices user. The portable
power bank charges by plugging it into a power outlet, the power bank stores the
power and when we plug-in the electrical gadgets, the power is transferred from
the battery to the devices. The concept of being able to charge mobile phones
on the go has been a pleasant help to almost everyone in the present times. As
power supply sockets are not available all the time, power banks come in handy.
The main purpose of power bank is to have portable energy storage and can be
used in times of power interruptions. Although a power bank can extend the
electricity capacity of the devices to a certain degree, it still has a limited amount
of electricity: thus, it needs to be recharged frequently.

3. To determine the functionality of the interface device in terms of;
o Currents
o Voltage
o Voltage gain
o Power
o Power efficiency

HYPOTHESIS
The hypothesis of the studyy are;
1. The study show benefit the environment there is no ways generated with
this product and energy is conserved.
2. The study show benefit the future resarchers for this can help them to
improved and have a better idea.
3. This device is expected to be a user frendly that everone can make use of.
4. It can run for several hours and keeps charging mobile phone.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

Chapter 2
PROCEDURE
This chapter represents planning, designing, fabrication, testing, modification,
final testing and notes about the device.

PLANNING
This device aims to help people to charge their electronic devices when there is
no electric current in their area and in case of emergency.
Materials:
 DC MOTOR
 BATTERY
 GEAR
 RUBBERBAND
 STICKGLUE
 PLYWOOD
 WIRES

Testing

When the dc motor onnected to a triple A battery and the power swith is on the
dc motor motor starts to spin showing that electricty has been supplied but after a
few minutes we realized that the one DC motor has a different speed of spinning
causing to prduce low voltage elctricity and the the triple A battery starts drained
up.

Modification
These are the problems we encountered and we have to modified:
 Low functioning of DC motor.
 Incompatibllity of DC motor and battery.
 Low capacity of battery that cause our device to not function.
 Incompatibility of the phone charger USB connector to the device.
 Battery drained up too fast

Final testing

The researcher changed the overall construction changing the battery and DC
motor , First we change the the Triple A battery with a rechargable bigger battery
coming from a toy car , Second we change the DC motor connected directly to
the battery with a bigger capacity and has a speed greater than before, and lastly
after changing the overall construction the device performed well and be able to
charge mobile phones.

Chapter 3
EXPERIMENTATION
The researchers prepare the materials for the output and the DC motor will be
tested if it functions well and able to perform the needed motion. Then, the
researcher cut the board by 8x6 to connect the wires on DC motor into the
battery. After connecting, the researchers put a gear on the motor and paste it on
the board. And then, the second DC motor connects to a charger connector that
is connected to the first DC motor. The device is now completely done and the
researchers used the device and tests if it’s really functioning.

Chapter 4
SUMMARY
Smartphones and other mobile devices specially cellphones undeniably become
daily necessities. However the usabilty of these devices depends on the battery
on how much capacity it has, we can say how much we feel if our battery runs
out specially incase of emergency.Power bank is one of the best solution when
your battery shuts down with its functionality it becomes porpular all around the
world. With this kind of problems we come up with an idea of making a power
bank with use of different recyled materials we found on our home and
backyards. But first we ensure that this will not cause any problems likely we are
talking about electricity so we use a low voltage eletricity preventing us to
electricute ourselves.Constructing our devices we came up with different
problems and modification like the power supply we are going to use and the DC
motor we are going to use also we try and tested differented kinds of DC motor
and battery that will be compatible to each and other not to mention the trial and
error we faced changing our battery and DC motor nearly blowned up. So after
different testing and modification we are done with our device having its parts
well performed and functioning as we go to its battery capacity and voltage
output.

FINDINGS
These are the results and the data we have gathered performing our research:
 Voltage Output
 Battery Capacity
 Time to Full Charge a Fully Drained Battery
 Rotation Speed of the DC motor
 Timee to Drain the Battery

Voltage Battery Time to full Rotation Time to fully

Output Capacity charge a Speed drain the
battery battery

CONCLUSION
Power bank has made a lot of impact both on human life as a result of the fact
that people find it difficult to do away with their mobile devices switch off or result
of outage or interrupted AC power supply.

It also improve the economy tremendously as more people buy it as a necessity

for the purpose of charging their mobile devices.

RECOMMENDATIONS
This project is recommended for use in any location for the charging of mobile
devices when there is interruption of electric power supply and should not in case
use to charge different kinds of mobile phone devices with high capacity of
storage that will help to charge without draining the battery.
