Roles & Responsibilities

(Welding/Painting/Mechanical/Vessel& Boilers/Towers)
 Fabrication shop/site welding inspections.
 Coordinate, plan and schedule day-to-day inspection related work activities and
directions.
 Inspection and witnessing for Welder Qualification Test as per ASME Sec IX.
 Ensure that plant records are maintained properly.
 Write inspection reports on conditions found with recommendations.
 Checking with welding consumables to before welding.
 Check the fit up and edge preparation before welding as per drawing & WPS.
 Visual inspection of each passes during welding and identifies the welding defects.
 Verification of welding machines to ensure equipment meets job requirements
specification and provides verification of electrode baking and holding temperature
including control and issue.
 Inspection of final welding & preparing the daily weld reports.
 Inspection and witnessing hydro test and leak test.
 To collate all relevant documentation for the job and apply the data to the creation of a
Test Pack to undertake pre-hydro test inspection activity.
 Documentation for all reports as per Quality control/ Assurance plan with client
specification.

 Testing and Inspecting the unit for leak and vacuum cycle.
 Verifying the calibration certificates for the test instruments, gauges etc.
 Visually inspecting for the painting procedures as per specification requirements by
ensuring the Paint Systems, WFT, DFT and finally reviewing the painting reports from
subcontractor.
 Scheduling manpower for various work activities like blasting , painting and for
insulation.
 Participate in the preparation of response to technical queries and preparation of
change orders.
 Monitor contractor, inspection program and quality control program.
Conducting Qualification test for Insulators, Abrasive Blasters & Paint/ Coating
applicators and also for Crew Supervisors.
 Assembling the coating unit by giving technical support. Responsible for design,
drawing and fabrication of non-pressure parts of boiler ducts, hoppers, chute pipe and
supporting structures (beams, channels and angles)
 Ensuring the proper materials used as per specification requirement (GARNETS, steel
shots, PAINTS etc..) along with the Approved MAR copy and test certificates &
technical data specification from manufacturers.
 Conducting Qualification test for Insulators, Abrasive Blasters & Paint/ Coating
applicators and also for Crew Supervisors.
 Review drawing and coordinate with discipline engineers where needed. Planning and
organizing the team ensuring the activities are performed as per the QA/QC plan.
