When it comes to art, more often than not there is a backstory as to why each piece
was created. There is a history behind why the artist decided to head down a
seemingly uncertain path. San Francisco-based artist Charmaine Olivia is a self-
taught artist with amazing talent. Her paintings depict women in fantastically strong
ways.

e were fortunate enough to conduct a short interview with Olivia last year.
Just recently, Hi Fructose had their own, exclusive interview with Olivia
which covered topics ranging from her inspiration to working inside her new
studio.
