Description
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia’s Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a European
MNC and a world leader in developing, engineering and supplying technologies, processing plants and proprietary equipment
for Oils & Fats, Animal Feed & Agro Food, Oleochemicals & Biodiesel Detergents, Surfactants & Chemicals amongst many
others. Our highly-respected client is seeking a technical professional, with at least 6 years’ experience in Mechanical Design
for the job of Senior Mechanical Engineer. The job is based in Shah Alam and will report to the Head of Department
Mechanical & Drafting.

Role Summary:
 Perform calculation for static equipment according to different design code, i.e. ASME VIII Div. 1, AD-2000, EN
13445.
 Determine seismic loading parameter base on different seismic code upon client provided information.
 Perform vessel’s nozzle loading calculation or local stress analysis.
 Assist HOD to prepare standard calculation sheet and drawing.
 Provide technical support to external design resources, equipment vendors and fabricators.
 Check and approve equipment design drawings (AFC), and documentation. Liaise with fabricator for fabrication
issues.
 Travel to site and workshop (if required).
 Collaborate with project and process teams to comply project requirement and meet project schedules.
 Perform Solidworks Finite Element Analysis when necessary

Key job requirements include:

 Min 6 years’ experience in mechanical design on pressure vessel, shell & tubes heat exchangers and atmospheric
tanks Having knowledge of piping stress analysis is an advantage
 Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
 In-depth knowledge of integrity design using Autopipe vessel or PV elite.
 In-depth knowledge of piping stress analysis using CAESAR II
 Having knowledge of piping stress analysis & Solidworks FEA is an advantage
 Proficiency in software applications including 2D, 3D CAD, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
 Knowledge of engineering standards in drawing practice, dimensioning, tolerances, drawing symbols, welding
practice, etc. Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate & solve problem effectively
 Strong technical aptitude.
 Polished and professional image.
 Demonstrates initiative and self-direction
  Efficient time management and activity planning skills.
 Commitment to achievement of company objectives.
 Willing to travel
 Good problem solving and analytical skills.
 A strong team player with good planning and interpersonal skills.
 Good command in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
