Fishermen, Farmer, Securities, Industrial Workers, those who are working in night
time. The places where the above categories of people are settled / working the above
product finds potential markets.

D. Any Unique Features? Explain ?

Yes.
• Fishermen can have long focus of light and safe guard them self from any
undowardness. Also they can well identifiy their area of fishing activities and confine
without crossing to other countries marine area.
• In the event of any drift to Banned location by using GPS application, they can revert
back to their permissible Marine area.
• Farmers can make use of this equipment to protect the agricultural crops from wild
animals,.
E. Is there any tough demand?

Once this product comes into utility this will have a better market considering
additional features proposed for the emergency lamp.

F. Can customers afford it ?

Yes. For the proposed price of about Rs 1800/- customers can afford to purchase.

G. Why will they buy it ?

 Easy to handle
 Economically affordable even with the additional features.
H. What is your motivation for doing it? (Statement of Purpose)
In my second year course, I did mini project in the area of solar powered home light.
This prompted me to go in for certain further application of solar power resulting in
development of Emergency Lamp(EL) with features like

 Lighting, Mobile charger

 GPS communication for Border intimation
 Camera, Audio System, Fish Catching Light (Various colors)
 “Protect the agricultural crops from wild animals by making audible noise which is
frightening the animals ,.

2. Is it a new concept ?
YES. My view is based on verification result from IPR section and WIPO website.

3. How are you going to sell your product or service to potential customers ?

 Conduct of market survey

 Identifying interested customers with special emphasis to fishermen and
farmers.
 Proper conduct of demonstration to the above categories of people and give
them operation manual.

4. How frequently will customers make “repeat purchases” of your product or service?
 The repeated use of EL is to the need of the customers
  While using in high seas EL is likely to be affected due to sea wind and
corrosion.
 Life period of EL will be about three years due to above factors.

5. How simple or complex will the idea’s execution or implementation be? What are
the risk factors involved in executing the idea ?
• The modeling of system is simple and fabrication work is slightly complex.
Risk factor:
 Giving proper demonstration and make the customer understand the

proper usage of product.

 Creation of market network for sale and services for the product.

6. How soon could the idea be put into operation?

 12 Months

7. What is the break-even point and estimated time-frame? Having deducted your
costs what “margin” can you make on your product or service?

 Total Requirement is of Rs: 5 lakhs INR till the product stabilizes in the market.

 Balance funding required: Rs 2 lakhs

 Will be met out from my personal saving and friend circle.
d) What is the other support apart from financial you will need from the incubator ?

 Initial development activities of project from the institute laboratory.

 Assistance from institutional supporting staff for initial development.
