To Whom It May Concern

I wish to apply for admission to your post-graduate program in Digital Effects at the A University for September
2012 intake in order to enhance my career prospects in the field of Digital effects.

Academic background

In my diploma and undergraduate studies, there are core courses like the "Design and Interactive Media" series
help me understand fundamental concepts of visual literacy consist wide range of useful issues for creation and
presentation of digital based works. I also enjoyed study "Imaging and Animation",” Digital Compositing" that
have given me a comprehensive content on using software applications to create animation, dynamics and motion
oriented visual design in 3D. During university, I was assigned to group projects in various subjects, it enables me
ability to control group discussion and implement plans and I have strived to develop my teamwork negotiation,
independent thinking and thinking creatively. In these 4 years of study, I have learned how to composit multimedia
design and visualization, gaining advanced group project management skills and skills required for successful
proposal preparation, understand the importance of continuity in creation process leading to a final work in a
complete functioning multimedia prototype.

Activities:

I was an art decor supervisor for RMIT event club from 2007 to 2009, experiences in design visual background,
activities' materials for Christmas parties and handle logistic equipments for basketball tournaments. I also joined
Aikido club to practice martial art after class and hold position of community manager after 2 months, responsible
for most of activities and performing practices and seminar exchange from 2007 to 2008. Participating in clubs and
student organizations has given me the chance to meet and deal with daily problems. By undertake various club
projects, I have enhanced my teamwork skills by communicating ideas with other students from different programs,
exchange facts and opinions based on my study in order to accomplish and improve process quality.

Work experiences:

My liberal professions commitment to graphic artist began in 2005 when I was given the chance to create artworks
and handicrafts for high school' activities, design backdrops for local events and create visual effect for friends'
photo albums. While I was in university, I have undertaken various types of jobs as graphic designer and branding
consultant. I designed new interactive interface for websites, logos and product packages. And the customers have
improved their profits in that time with new design strategy and viral marketing. After I have completed all
academic requirements for Bachelor of Design program at RMIT, I interned at Vinamation - animation and visual
effect company headed by Nguyen Huu Tu, my lecturer at RMIT. As 2D/3D artist, working of focal group, I was
able to expand my knowledge to new level of computer medium and further develop communication skills as well
as time management, problem solving skills and dealing with clients. All the while I'm in the studio, I have
involved in various type of projects from create illustrations for package design, create environment concept and
construction for advertising and featured films, after spending 4 months on a feature production, I have greater self-
awareness and confidence with my potential and the realm of digital art opened for me.

Motivation
I was fortunate to participate as an intern at Vinamation studio in June 2011. Since then I have always wanted to
learn more about animation, digital compositing and I have decided to study overseas in a cross-cultural
environment and face world-class challenges. During my research of courses, I became aware of, and impressed by
Master of Art major in Digital Effects through Bournemouth's website. I want to study at A University because of
your outstanding educational system, which one of three Master Degree pathways created by the NCCA, provide a
chance for student in exploiting media technologies and develop innovative creative approaches in the subject area
of Digital Effects, concentrates on the balance of Acquisition video, 3D Animation and Compositing. I have look
NCCA digital effects channel on YouTube website and I believe Bournemouth is a good place to start learning
about MA Digital Effects. While studying this unique course, I will strive to develop my fine art sensibilities and
understanding about particular elements in digital 3D animation by using industry standard applications in order to
create an ambitious piece of work, with a high level of finish for Master Project. I think that the study time in A
University is exciting and an important step towards reaching my goal to become good supervisor when I come
back Vietnam.

Future Career Plans

In Vietnam, the creative industry is a dynamic and growing part of the economy. It includes various sectors and few
ones have seen explosive growth rates likes the Interactive and Digital Media sector, which covers games,
animation, visual effects, creation of digital content. Today, more international companies have their significant
presence here to looking for world class talents. I plan to earn master degree in UK major in animation and visual
effects, with the high potential program and become a supervisor that can provides best technical support as well as
aesthetics creation for creative studios and production organizations. I will strive for helping my country develop
this industry and seeking for new talents. I also plan to achieve the goal to become the kind of lecturer that can
finds students' potential and changes their lives in school for better education not only about lecture, but about the
joys and learning passion.
