Reason we all should vote !
Least we can do for our country as citizen's. 60 Percent of India's
population is the young . We as the younger population need to
go out and vote cause it's not important who wins or loses an
election as it's about the future of our country and if we as the
youth of country don't take the initiative to vote there is going
to be no future.
So go out and Mark your presence this election.

What can happen if you DON'T
vote
If you don’t vote you have not shown preference for anyone
standing in the election, or any side in a referendum campaign.
Your vote will not be counted for either side or directly effect the
result.
You have not accessed the right given to you by the constitution
for the better growth of the country.

What if I do not wish to vote ?
We suggest ‘NOTA Voting’ rather than abstaining if you do not
agree with any of the options on the ballot paper. "NOTA" is still
casting your voice, raising your voice. Abstaining from it only gags
our voice.

Who represents a constituency?
If you're an elected official, your constituency is the group of
people whose interests you were elected to represent. When you
vote for an mp of your constituency , the party with the most
amount of the seats forms the government and the PM is selected
from this party.

The Responsibilities of an MLA
The responsibilities of the MLAs in each state are equivalent to
that of the Members of the Parliament in the Lok Sabha. The
Legislative Assembly is the highest law-making body in each
state. The Members of the Legislative Assembly represent each
constituency of the state as members are elected to cater to the
interests of each region in the state.

Powers of an MLA
Legislative Powers:
The primary function of a Member of the Legislative Assembly is
law-making. The Constitution of India states that the Members of
the Legislative Assembly can exercise their legislative powers on
all matters on which the Parliament cannot legislate. An MLA can
exercise his legislative powers on the State List and the Concur-
rent List.

Financial Powers:
The Legislative Assembly holds absolute financial powers in the
state. A Money Bill can only originate in the Legislative Assembly
and the Members of the Legislative Assembly must give consent
for any of the expenses made from the State Treasury.

Executive Powers:
The Members of the Legislative Assembly in each state exercise
certain executive powers. They control the activities and actions
taken by the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers. In other
words, the ruling government is answerable to the Legislative As-
sembly for all its decisions.
