INTRODUCTION
• Civic Centre can host a variety of public services, engage the community in
place making and be utilized as an area for meaningful and productive
exchange.
• The Civic Centre fulfils its purpose of influencing how people think, which
in the process enhances their individual lives, and their contribution to the
community.
AIM AND OBJECTIVE
To provide a democratic and vivid urban environment that accesses and
connects different socio-economic groups while strengthening urban
identity and effecting a change in the negatively perceived public image
of civic buildings.
• To create spaces that should be functional and reflect the democracy.
• To bring impact on society
• To uplift the society and bring awareness among youth.
CONTEXT & FEASIBILITY
• More than 800 million voters. World Largest democracy.
Contemporary Indian politics in reality is considered with which only of
few dare to engage.
• The civic buildings in India are placed scattered and only intended
people are visiting these places.
• Common people are scared to visit a police station or court.
• Due to this many of them are not using their constitutional rights.
• The constitution gives us sovereign secular republic land with justice,
liberty, equality and fraternity, current Indian circumstance is at the
stake.
This kind of typology is not widely seen in India.
TYPOLOGY
A public building in a modern urban environment is made to support the community, its
welfare, and livability.
Creating a zone in which civilian can access to the government services and attain freedom
that democracy grants us.
