General Instruction for Students (UG project 2019-2020)

1. Students can form batch of their own within their domain. A Batch

must contain maximum of three members with distributed academic

performances among them. Every student of the batch should equally

contribute for the successful completion of their project.

2. No changes in the batch is entertained, once it gets finalized.

3. In-House projects are encouraged. Interested industrial projects may be

entertained if it is from Government or public sectors. If projects

referred from private sectors then necessary prior permission must be

obtained from the Project Coordinators & HOD/ECE. Students are

advised not to carry out projects in any project centres.

4. Presentation for reviews may be preferably with their personal laptop.

Registration form should be submitted before zeroth review.

5. A project file should be maintained by each batch that contains the

abstract, literature papers, SIF (Supervisor Interaction Form) and it is to

be submitted on every review process. Literature papers may be referred

from any of the standard Journals and hard copy of the same should be

maintained. Journal downloading facility is available in the library. The

project file will be verified periodically. SIF should be signed by the

supervisor twice a week.


6. Presentation should be made with simple slide selections. Batches are

expected to avoid animation, contrast color background, abnormal font

sizes. Uniformity should be maintained in all slides (Font Size and

Style).

7. Proper dress code should be followed during presentations. Students are

expected to ensure their presence during review process as per schedule.

Any excuses will not be entertained in this regard.

8. Any change in title/ supervisor/ or any specific requirement related to

project to be addressed to the coordinators immediately for suitable

suggestions. Any change in area of work/title/supervisor will not be

entertained after zeroth review.

9. Students are advised to periodically check their college mail for

updates. Any other project related queries may be brought to the notice

of Project coordinators (Mr. Sathish M, Ms. Pavithra S, Ms. Helan

Vidhya T & Ms. Shanmuga Priya P).

10.Students can select their guides according to the faculty specialization.

If the batches are unable to find their guide, in that case, the project

coordinators will allot the supervisor/guide.

11.The students are instructed to adhere with the schedule strictly.

12.Equal weightage of marks will be given for all the reviews.


13.Students are advised to file/publish the papers arising out of their work.

The weightage will be given, if the student do the following

a) Patent Filing

b) Journal Publication (Scopus indexed or UGC approved

journal)

c) Conference Publication (International or National)
