II. Tools Required For Installation Works

III. HDPE Electro Fusion Welding Method for the Repair works

a) Isolate the water from the over head tank and drain the complete water.
b) Mark the pipe to be cut and take precautions for nearby fittings
c) Cut the pipe as per marked and drain the complete water.
d) Scrap the pipe and clean the surface with solution and make ready for welding
e) The HDPE Electro Weld fittings are provided with 2 socket ends which can be welded in single
operation.
f) The welding equipment sends current through the resistance wires in the electro weld socket for a set
period, both electro weld ends are weld at same time.
g) The Electro Weld Sockets has stops on the interior. The socket has two contact pins on the outside
for the connection of the welding equipment.
h) There are two welding indicators which appear during and after the welding operation. These
indicate that the welding has been reached and that the welding pressure has been applied.
i) The connector cables from the welding equipment should be connected to electro welded socket.
j) This will illuminate Connection indicator Lamp
k) Press the start button. The welding machine indicator lamp will illuminate. Once the welding time is
complete the lamp automatically extinguishes and the current supply switches off
l) Check the weld indicators. they should have emerged by around 2mm
m) Allow the joint to be cool and continue the water flow after 1 to 2 Hours.
