Internship Fair or I-Fair is the three month period from February to April every year. It is
aimed at enabling companies to tap into the vast talent pool at St. Stephen's College
and to give them an Internship Opportunity to identify and track suitable candidates for
future placements, while at the same time, offering an opportunity for students to
receive formal work-experience in the company/sector of their choice.
The Campus Placement Cell, St. Stephen's College, welcomes all junior members to
take an active part in the I-FAIR’20 for the Internship Season 2019-20. St. Stephen's
College considers the internship process very crucial and extends all-out support to
ensure that students are given the right opportunity to streamline their career interests.
The CPC team continuously endeavours to ensure that St. Stephen's College comes up
with the best internship results and continues to be the most favoured destination for
recruiting organizations. This is possible only with the assistance and full cooperation of
all students. In order to maximize the sum of benefits to all the stakeholders, the
Internship Policy for the students has evolved over the years. To realize a favourable
situation for St. Stephen's College and our partner organizations, all students are
expected to understand the Internship Policy and follow it strictly.
The Internship Policy is applicable to all junior members registered for the I-FAIR’20 of
St. Stephen's College and is to be followed during the entire duration of the Internship
season.

20000 per month) & Tier 2 (With a stipend of less than Rs 20000 per month)
● If a student accepts an offer from a tier-1 company, he/she is not allowed

upcoming internship processes
● If a student accepts an offer from a tier-2 company, he/she can apply for other
tier-2 and tier-1 companies
● After receiving an internship offer, the Junior Member has 24 hours to accept or
reject the offer( It may vary according to the company)

REJECTING AN OFFER
Junior Members may 'reject' an internship offer up to 10 days before the internship
is scheduled to begin. The due procedure requires the Junior Member to:
● CC the CPC in communicating the offer rejection to the company and inform the
CPC representative in charge of the company. Failure to which will result in
one strike.
● Junior Members who want to leave an internship during the period are required
to (i) Inform the company in compliance with any informed company rules and (ii)
CC the CPC. Failure to which will result in debarment from future
internships for 1st year students and one strike for future placements of
2nd year students.
PENALTIES
Failure to abide by the rules and regulations of the I-Fair as laid out above will result in
strict action against the Junior Member involved. Please be informed that ignorance of
the rules will not be treated as a legitimate reason for failure to comply.
Infraction Penalty
Junior Members who accumulate 3 strikes during the Internship Fair 2020 will face the
following consequences:
● 1st Years: Cannot apply for any further internships in their current academic year
(i.e. 2019-20) and 1 strike will carry on to their 2nd Year for internships (i.e.

year (i.e. 2019-20) and 1 strike will carry on to their 3rd Year for final placements
(i.e. 2020-21)
● Students are NOT allowed to leave a selection process by a company after being
shortlisted unless dictated by the signout policy of tier-1 companies. Such actions
or not joining a company for internship (without informing CPC) after accepting or
at the very last moment will result in a strike
● It is expected that a student shall NOT add any ambiguous/wrong/misleading
information in his/her resume. If, on verification, any discrepancies are found, the
student would be debarred from Internship Fair 2020. This may also attract strict

process, including Pre-Internship Talks, written or online tests, group
