5. Brief status of the progress made so far (in general terms ):
The project has started in June 2015. Modelling work of mobile manipulator has been
published at 2 nd International and 17th National Conference on Machines and Mechanisms
2015 at lIT Kanpur. Also for orientation control of mobile base we have communicated a
paper to International conference on robotics and automation (ICRA), 2017 to be held in
Singapore. No visit could take place yet due to financial constraint from Argentina side.

who is at present a PhD. student at the Indian Institute of Technology-Roorke, India , under the
supervision of Prof.Dr. P. M. Pathak, to visit our Laboratory for Automation and Control
(Laboratorio de Automatizacion y Control) for 15 days, during March 2017.

During his stay, Mr. Rayankula will carry out research activities within the MinCyT-DST_India
Bilateral Research Project IN/14/07, entitled Development of control system for mobile
robot with manipulator for transporting hazardous materials , under the supervision of
Prof. Sergio Jose Junco, who is the Argentine Director of the Project.

I understand that Mr. Vitalram Rayankula will be sponsored and fully funded for all travel
expenses by DST-India , and for the living expenses by MinCyT-Argentina. We will supply him
with a position to enable him to conduct his research during his stay.
